Maybe...but more likely is they obviously see a lot of value in putting the head-and-shoulders #1 team in the conference and country on TV next Saturday.

Kentucky may very well beat LSU, but the most likely outcome is that Kentucky is 5-2 headed into State game. I think the CBS decision had a lot more to do with MissSt than it does UK.

Pretty much everyone in the country agrees that MissSt is the #1 team in the nation, and that has obvious appeal.

The nation is tired of hyping up the evil Winston. They have latched onto the wholesome Dak.

CBS owns MSU until the end of the regular season or they stumble and lose. Lock, stock and barrel. Hot commodity.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but what is the other "choice" matchup? OM @ LSU? Not seeing anything other than that. And I want OM at night where we might (MIGHT) have a chance to slow down that steamroller.

Undefeated Ole Miss going into Tiger Stadium against an LSU team that has won a few in a row is going to get better ratings than State and unranked UK 100/100 times.

State is going to kill UK anyway. LSU/Ole Miss has much more big-name and big-game appeal, and that's what will draw a national audience.

That being said, of course as an LSU fan I wanted this game at night. And this is no spite towards State, who I think is the best team in the country.

Works out for LSU, but CBS is retarded. You think a casual observer is more likely to tune into LSU in Death Valley, or Kentucky?
