1. Arkansas. I was on the Flagship. Thought they could compete for the West this season. They will have to pull an upset or two to make a bowl game at this point.

2. Leonard Fournette. I thought he was a good running back. He may go down as the best ever in the SEC before he's done. He is a joy to watch for us old school fans. I think he has a shot at 2000.

3. Tennessee. Snakebit. Should be unbeaten. They will learn how to win. The SEC is better when Tennessee is good.

4. Kentucky. Cats are one year away from competing for the SEC East. Georgia is just too good this year, but if Alabama upsets UGA Saturday, the East could come down to the UGA-UK game.

5. Florida being 4-0 when they could be 1-3. Did Florida make a deal with Satan like Auburn did in 2012? The Gators' West schedule (LSU and Ole Miss) is going to keep them out of the East race, though.

Updated Predictions

West
1. LSU 8-0
2. Ole Miss 6-2 (loses to LSU and A&M)
3. MSU 5-3 (loses to Bama and Ole Miss)
4. A&M 5-3 (loses to Bama, State and LSU)
5. Alabama 4-4 (loses to LSU, UGA and Tennessee)
6. Auburn 1-7 (beats Arkansas)
7. Arkansas 1-7 (beats Missouri)

East
1. UGA 7-1 (loses to Florida)
2. Florida 6-2 (loses to LSU, Ole Miss)
3. UK 5-3 (loses to State and Georgia)
4. Tennessee 4-4 (beats Alabama, Missouri, South Carolina and Vandy)
5. Missouri 2-6 (beats Vandy)
6. South Carolina 1-7 (beats Vandy)
7. Vandy 0-8

I don't know that Ole Miss and Lsu eliminate us. If we beat Georgia that is. Obviously not favored but UF vs Georgia is always a toss up because of the games intensity. We could lose to both west and just hope Georgia loses to Alabama. So I don't think we are out yet. We've got wins over the two best teams not named Georgia in the East already

I agree. I think you beat Georgia. The problem is no one else is going to beat Georgia and they win the East at 7-1. You need to pull an upset over one of the West teams to be able to win the tiebreaker, or have Bama beat Georgia.

You're right. Goodness, good chance Bama loses 4 SEC games this year.

Either way I'll take 6-2 in the Sec...that would be a hell of a start for coach Mac with such a young, inexperienced offense.

Jeremy Johnson being possibly the worst QB in the nation surprised me. Especially playing in Gus' gimmick offense.

No way Bama loses to LSU. Saban never loses when he has a bye week to prepare.
