Judge might only have one option now for putting POTUS Trump in jail. Very sad indeed.

Alvin Bragg and his minions have really screwed the pooch. President Trump’s attorneys must move to dismiss. The fatal error is that the NY Statute they cite only applies to elections within the State of New York and not Federal Elections!

In this case, Bragg and his Superman Colangelo, in an exercise of their legal analysis of the law, maintain that Trump, Cohen, and Pecker conspired to get Trump elected to President of the United States. This is the basis for the elevation of charges.

This is enough to end the case but that’s not all.
quote:

The case refers to accounting entries “made” by President Trump (which is lunacy) or entries President Trump forced others to make. But these entries were made in 2017. So how could President Trump possibly impact the 2016 election with accounting entries that were made (clearly not by the President but by some entry-level accountant in his multi-billion dollar organization) in 2017?

Fatal Error

In order for the felony bookkeeping charge to stick, Bragg must prove the conspiracy charge in court. But the indictment did not charge Trump with conspiracy. Bragg is going to try to convict Trump of a crime he hasn't been charged with.

It was never about getting a conviction.

It was about creating a splash and tying up Trump for the audacity of running again.

I knew a guy who got charged and convicted under a state racketeering statute while the racketeering predicates were all federal statutes.

Crazy world.

Bizarrely, the case is about paperwork errors that occurred after the election.

Meaning that the paperwork had no influence on the election.

You're assuming the judge will follow the law and the jury will evaluate the facts.

You would think. But the NYC area has a hard on to get Trump and doesn’t care how they get there.

This is true but…

If they managed to get a conviction and jail time that would be considered a bonus to the leftist POS prosecutors.

And the billions of $$$$$ worth of free campaigning conducted by the mass media and NPR

to be a democrat voter in this age you have to be insipidly stupid or complicit with the evil.

it is that simple. There is nobody who with any sort of moral principles could support ANY democrat in politics today since 1980

Couldn't the FCC have charged him with campaign violations IF they thought it was a provable fact?

they passed on it because everyone in politics does the exact same thing day after day after day after day . . . . . ..

Not true.

The intent was to get a Kangaroo Court conviction(s) prior to the election, even though the convictions would be destroyed on appeal after the election. The lawfare effort got tied up in DC and Florida, forcing them to bring their worst case first in NY.

Still, with the E Jean Carroll legal atrocity serving as example, law, case quality, and actual innocence are no impediment to conviction in NY.

If this theory had even marginal merit, Trump's attorneys would have presented it. They haven't.

This is Gateway Pundit wishcasting.

Yeah. This case is B.S., but OP seems to be posting a "big if true" about something that everyone has known about since the case was filed.

One guy is named Bragg and his first witness is Pecker. Which one has "bragging" rights?
