How did Hamas become a darling of the left?

The organization was listed as an official terrorist group for years.
By all accounts, life in Palestine under their rule has been an unmitigated disaster.
They launched a terror attack on Israel, killing unarmed civilians on sidewalks, cafes and in their cars during their morning commute to work.
Has this little war gone-on too long? Probably so.
But why and how has this made this shite organization the darling of leftist American activists?

Its a means to an end. These people have been trained and propagated to latch on to anything that claims victimhood for being brown and blame whites and/or Jews.
The issue here is so much of everything is controlled by Israel within our own government, they can't have a large portion of their base protesting against their own cause. Thus, they need control of Tiktok, and the internet as a whole to gain back control of the narrative.
