Did any of you just hear Mark May's comments that it was absolutely impossible that USC would lose this season? I thought I was about to have to go to the hospital, because for the only time in my life, I was agreeing with Lou Holtz, who was saying that the season was too young to be making those types of statements.

Mark May is a bigger dumb arse than Lou Holtz. At least Lou has an excuse for his ignorant statements... He's about 80. Mark May isn't even 50 and he says some of the most off the wall shite you can think of.

i agree, the last few years, people praise USC bc they beat a good team at the time in OOC and they suck later in the season, and they still lose to 2 pac 10 teams every year like stanford and oregon last year. i agree, USC is overrated, im not buying them, i think theye lose to like oregon and ucla this year.

Being smarter than someone that is going to be shitting himself on a consistent basis in the near future is not a complement.

Lou is right

If California's suffers a big earthquake and creates a huge distraction..anything could happen at that point...

That's how I was. I knew May was a USC homer, but he got completely defensive and pissed because people thought there was still a chance that USC could lose a game. I think USC is the best team in the nation, but weren't they also the best team(or were they #2?) when they lost to 41 point underdog stanford? On that note, how many of yall were in tiger stadium when they announced that score? That was an unbelievable reaction.

Maybe in 3 or 4 years. UCLA is pure garbage and SC will beat them by 60. Oregon is the only team that even makes me nervous. There is a big diference between this SC team and the last couple. The D is better coupled with an offense that can finally get the ball down the field because of Sanchez. JDB didn't have that and was never the leader Sanchez is

In 1993 it was impossible for LSU to beat Alabama.

In 2003 it was impossible for Oklahoma to lose a game.

I heard the above statements and we all know what happened.

I'm not arguing that this team is not vastly improved from last year, but do you find in inconceivable that yall could lose a game? I mean if Sanchez gets hit wrong in that knee with a freak accident, or a few tip passes go the wrong way like in 2006 that let Florida in. I just don't see how you say it's impossible that they can lose a game. It might be probable that they win them all but it's not impossible to lose at least one

After last year, I don't think anything is inconceivable in college football. However, this teams first couple games are way better than SC played in any game last year. Also the schedule is much friendlier this year with Oregon, ASU, ND and Cal at home when all of those were on the road last year. Arizona actually might end up being SC's toughest game. They always seem to play SC well

Ok well let me word it a little different. I know USC has tons of playmakers and a great defense. If Sanchez gets hurt, are they amazingly better than LSU? I mean wouldn't be basically the same scenario where the quaterback is a major concern? I know you have 5 star backups but these guys are extremely young and have no experience at all. Again I consider myself a reasonably objective fan with a slight purple tint, but I just think the season is far from over.

yeah marrk sanchez is injury prone too. he is a great QB, but he needs to stay healthy the entire season, we'll see though.

no you're defenitly right. His knee is a concern and Corp hasn't done anything. LSU is already strong on the lines without much of a question

Now that we have agreed I will tell you that in my opinion that you will not be taking that big of a gamble if you buy your plane tickets to Miami tonight. Good luck to you and I have some great USC Gear for sale on ebay if your interested. HAHA good luck

usc, your next game is at Oregon State, is it not? That place always gives you guys fits as well as Wazzu.
I have a feeling that Sanchez may go down in one of those games and it is going to affect your season.
