I don't know what to say. Our offense is even worse than last year (I know it's hard to believe that it could be humanly possible). Woody McCorvey must have naked pictures of Coach Croom at a petting zoo or something. No other SEC school or head coach would have put up with such a pathetic offense for so long (five seasons). There, I'm done. Defense played a whale of a game, as they do 99.9% of the time.

We may have won, but our offense wasn't much better.

Not your whole offense just the QB. Where did this guy come from?

Who is the 3rd string guy?

Mississippi has to have a better QB than that somewhere in the state with the level of high school football there. That and Croom going for it on 4th and 15 (dumbest call ever?) should be enough to get him fired.

How do you not go for it there? It isn't like your offense has been kicking arse, gotta try SOMETHING

Maybe you get another safety or fumble if you pin Auburn deep, either way you at least have the field position in you favor for once.

Exactly. They fumbled anyway, but still that was the most insane call Coach Croom could have made. I can't remember the last time we converted a 4th and 15. We may have done it once in the entire Jackie Sherill era.

Wesley carrol is pretty bad but he doesn't have that many playmakers around him either.

Well, Croom hasn't been able to get the offense going since Bama signed away his "QB of the Future"...Jimmy Johns, back in 2004.

Look how that worked out...

croom needs to face the facts either ditch the WCO or hire an OC that knows how to run it. until then no good offensive players will want to play for you. also the bonehead decisions need to end. pretty much any other college football coach out there would have punted on 4 and 15 considering how bad the offensive was playing.

Yeah, going for it on 4th and 15, the way they were playing on both sides of the ball, and with two timeouts, was just stupid. I think Croom will avoid some of the heat he earned on that call. He'll sure get less than he would have if Auburn hadn't turned it over again (and MSU gave it right back)...going for it will be lost in the static of the ending and final score.

hell we could've put auburn back inside the 10. we could've got another safety or maybe make their offensive make a mistake somehow. i feel worse losing this way then i do in a complete blowout.

Miss St.'s offense was absolutely horrid. Absolutely disappointing.

I disagree. Bad as the QB was, the WRs didn't help him at all. It's impossible to ever compete for a long catch unless the WR is capable of working for it a little bit.

Southern Cal's QBs mostly throw a bunch of jump balls to their tall receivers, and everyone acts like they're the greatest QBs in the world. MSU's QBs give their team a chance to win the game, and his WRs get pwned by the DBs. What can you do? (Answer: Not go for it on 4th down those last 2 times in a 3-2 game, you freaking idiot.)

It's your recruiting, bubba ... you've gotta have the package (OL & WR Corps) to stand up to a good defense like Auburn and win.

Your Defense takes a huge hit this year with graduation ... It doesn't look so great next year
