Your take on Fulmer/Bama....

After watching the SEC media fiasco, I tuned in to local radio here (all sponsors are "Roll Tide" types)and listened as the majority of callers lauded the supeona given to Fulmer. They and the mc's continued with how the alum now bringing suit would be remembered not for having disgraced/penalized the program, but for causing "Fat Phil" a lot of sleepless nights. He would now have to answer some "really tough questions".
My point is (maybe I'm not in full possession of all the facts BUT) didn't Alabama without question commit violations that left a body or two, some used Ford Explorers, several high school coaches, and and overrated blue chipper in the dust? Was Fulmer , who was apparently aware, then "honor bound" to inform of his knowledge of this wrongdoing . (So, okay, he wasn't hurt by doing it). Nonetheless, here are these fans forsaking what is true and correct action now revelling in seeing someone who did right now disrupted. Does this not make them even more stupid appearing than their worship of "SevenandSix" Saban?

Having lived in Tuscaloosa for several years, with most of the people I encountered there logic and truth have no bearing on this situation.

i don't know the answer but it seems from the rumors i've heard and what i've read that the vols give and have given bama a run for its money

I would say every program gets away with as much as they possibly can. I think LSU probably even does things that might raise a eyebrow. The key is to not get caught.

Do you remember Reggie White saying that he was paid by UT while he was in School? He was interviewed by a Chattanooga sports TV Host, after he was in the NFL, so that everyone in the viewing area could see. Reggie said, as a Minister his conscious was bothering him and he had to come clean. The NCAA did nothing and sometime later the sportscaster conveniently lost the tape of the interview. IT was big news here in Tennessee for a while.

They were guilty in the eyes of the NCAA. Some schools are the best at having boosters give gifts to recruits/players and then try to take the position that they knew absolutely nothing.

Guys, do you all know the details behind this? My hunch is you do not. 3/'4 of you have no idea what the hell you are speaking of as you rant here anyways. You need to read into what happened. he was supoenaed on the assumption of the past two defamation lawsuits against the NCAA have been won by Ronnie Cottrell and the booster, only after the NCAA's lawyers uncovered withheld info. that the forspoken lawyers withheld. Both were ruled in multi-million dollar settlements against the NCAA. That is why he is being supoenaed. These ambulance chasers have two previous cases to base their litigation against and will not trip up where the others did. frick FAT PHIL and everyone at the Universtiy of Tennessee. I love every minute of it. I was at media days all three days. I was in hog heaven when his fat-arse walked in with the frown on his face. PRICELESS!!

Bama needs to let this go. It makes the school look worse everytime it is brought up.

If there were to ever be a moment in time when I started to believe Saban could survive, much less flourish, at Bama, and succeed in ignoring you people and your idiotic obsessions/distractions, while lifting the Tide to dominance over the West and LSU, I would only need to re-read these types of posts to remember that the Bammers themselves will NEVER allow that to happen. I grant that all schools have their share of fanatics, but you guys are pretty much the Taliban of 'em all. Keeping this shite alive just furthers the vast majority's view of ya'll as vindictive, win-at-any-cost, bitter losers, and Saban will quickly have his fill of your self-defeating BS.
But picturing your sad Gump arse wandering around Media Days in your goofy head-to-toe Bama gear stalking Fat Phil does bring a huge smile to my face, so thanks for that.

The subpoena was a sucker punch but Big Phil handled it poorly by fanning the fire. I actually thinks this hurts Auburn, Big Phil would love to use this as motivation against the better team in AL and I expect a close game.

Well we're all laughing pretty hard right now. Funny thing from the other day, I saw them compare Alabama and Nevada on College Football Live. They said that Bama had 10 national titles. Does that make you mad? Bammers tell us that ya'll have 12. Heck, by now you should have 14 if you add the 2007 spring game national title to go along with the 2008 recruiting national title.
Back to the spring game, did you have 92,000 show up for the ULM game? Coach Miles' answer from media day to the question of "If Bama played all 12 Louisiana schools, what would be the record?" should have been, "0-12. We all know that Nick Saban created Louisiana football and therefore Louisiana football is the mecca of football, thanks to Nick Saban."

Let me put in laymans terms-We hate Phillip Fulmer just as much as LSU fans hate Saban. Is that easier to understand? We (Alabama fans and coaches and players) had nothing to do with the supoena. I just enjoy seeing it!
