The past couple of years LSU has enjoyed a top 10 nationally ranked defense. In 2014 LSU had the highest ranked SEC team defense.

Will LSU remain a top 10 team defensively?

No doubt this defense was the reason Texas A&M is only 6-5 over the past 11 games and more importantly 0-4 against Les Miles.

At #1, who knows. In the top 10, I think its a given with the talent.

Nothing is a given when dealing with a change in coordinators. If talent was the only variable our defense wouldn't have improved so much last year. Coaching matters in college and you guys lost a good one

This is as factually correct as your sig.

Couple equals two, just FYI.

That is one game Wade. He wasn't there for all of 0-4. Only the defensive coaches were, so we focus on them.

Hope you have a good day and week!

LSU defense will be greatly improved. Secondary will be the best in the SEC.

People act like LSU didn't win before Chavis showed up.

dont take this as a homer statement b/c its not. im pretty realistic when it comes to making statements about our team.....

people underestimate the absurd amount of talent we have on our defense, especially our secondary.

I'm not sure what's worse. Aggys using the last 11 games vs LSU to make a point or your horribly inaccurate sig quote.

Oh just another day and and another thread about LSU from an Aggy fan.

It wasn't top 10 the past couple of years, aTm is not 3rd in the SEC in wins since 2012, and aTm is most definitely not improving.

None of those little facts stopped him, so why should this one?

LSU will rack up some serious Defensive stats vs A+M this year

At least 7 sacks in that game

Steele hasn't changed much beside the defensive line, really. He's also added the 4-3 under look and a normal dime package not named Mustang. Besides that, not much has changed. I think the new packages and alignments will help this veteran defense. With Orgeron on board, the D will be tremendously better up front. There's not a spot on the defense that is a real liability this year.
