Let's take a look at their schedule:

Louisiana
@Carolina
Florida
Mizzou
Eastern Kentucky
Auburn
@State
Tennessee
@Georgia
@Vandy
Charlotte
Louisville

At first glance I see 5-7 with losses to Carolina, Florida, Mizzou, Auburn, State, Tennessee, and @Georgia. Tough schedule for Kentucky this year.

Is Stoops on the hot seat if he misses the post season again?

That schedule does not look kind. I would say no.

Louisiana W
@Carolina W
Florida W
Mizzou L
Eastern Kentucky W
Auburn L
@State L
Tennessee L
@Georgia L
@Vandy W
Charlotte W
Louisville W

I think they will make a bowl but Carolina/Florida/Louisville/State will be their biggest swing games

I think it depends if he barely misses making a bowl game (like this year) I think he stays relatively safe but if he doesn't even come close then I think he's easily on the hot seat.

Assuming UL, EKU, Vandy, and Charlotte are W's, they would only need to win 2 out of UF, USC, UT, and Louisville. Definitely possible.

6-6 likely. Stoops is not on the hot seat at all.

I didn't say he was, I asked if he would be on the hot seat if Kentucky missed a bowl. It would at least be warming up with no bowl in year 3.

Stoops is basically building UK up from the ashes. no other school was in worse shape then Kentucky after Joker Phillips left, not even vandy.

UK has a decent shot to beat us this year due to the massive roster problem on offense.

Louisville-Toss up

4 guaranteed wins. All they have to do is beat two of Florida, Louisville and South Carolina. All of which are very winnable games. Yes Florida is winnable even though UK hasn't beaten them sense Reagan was in office.

And no, Stoops won't be on the hot seat. I still think he's a solid coach in a shitty situation.

You mean because this will be the first of your many Stoops/UKsessed threads this season? You're starting early.

And they could fall just short again, but they also have a decent shot at a 7+ win season. The seat won't even be remotely warm until year 4.

No SEC road games are guaranteed wins, especially for a team like Kentucky.

The seat won't be warm, but expectations are to go bowling. How soon so many of y'all forget we got jobbed in Gainesville in regulation. 3OT loss that could've swung our way, and we're bowling in Year 2.

Lack of serious depth is what whipped our arse last year. We have improved that, ergo, we will continue to improve.

Really need the team to focus on trying to go in to Columbia week 2 and steal a road W.
