SC Men's Golf, Matt NeSmith. Wins SEC Men's Individual Tournament

lsu may have won the team scorecard, but the best golfer in the SEC is SC's Matt NeSmith. Shooting -14 over 3 Rd's, Matt is the 2nd SC Men's Golfer to win the SECt Individual Award since 1998. Matt's -14 under par was also a school record for the SECt.

I remember playing in the Augusta City Amateur several years ago and Matt played in it as a 13 or 14 year old. I had just finished my round on the final day and saw a crowd of 30-40 watching him tee off on 10 (Yeah, he beat me also). After signing my score card I went out there to watch him a few holes and was impressed. You could definitely tell he would be great, and so far he has been.
