QB: Coker vs Cornwell is what this has come down too, to be honest. I think first half Coker looked damn good, but second half Coker was not very good. Gotta up consistency. Barnett and Bateman seem to be out of it from my view point, and Morris is never really a guy we talk about (or Saban really talks about either) as a true contender, and he didn't really show a lot. Granted I think he was the only QB without a pick, I'd have to check again.

RB: Henry and Drake are good. Not sure beyond that.

WR: Figured Foster/Stewart would be awesome. I'm starting to think Black is just Christion Jones 2.0

TE: Not a lot to say here. TFS looked good getting open, had a few drops though. Didn't see OJ do much. Ball was better than expected.

OL: I think it'll be better than the last two years, I'll say that.

DL: Best in the country.

LB: Strong as usual, one of the best in the country.

DB: Strong play by a lot of guys. I think we'll be fine on the back end.

K: ...

P: JK Scott Award is what they'll call it

Not worried about Qb. Defense will be best in the country at best. Top 5 at worst.

Sadly kicker is still a glaring weak spot that could cost the team another championship

Which is why my thoughts on A-Day are absolutely zero. If last year taught us anything, it's that results on A-Day are just as likely to be absolutely meaningless in predicting success in the fall.

If anyone has learned anything over the past 7 years, its that we are rarely "a qb away" from being successful.

The only thing that concerned me was the inconsistency at kicker (again). It also concerns me that we didn't try to get a kicker this past recruiting cycle. Are our coaches blind to how terrible Griffith performs under pressure?

Watching the replay, did McElroy say Foster is the play caller on defense?

doubt it. im sure it would either be Ragland or Lee. not sure who it will be in the secondary. Maybe Cyrus, but preferably it's a safety. Maybe Washington or Jackson? What did you guys think of Washington's play yesterday? I think he's proven he's got some ball skills

He definitely said it but he has to be wrong. Foster will hurt himself before long and had trouble learning the playbook last year.

I believe ABDIW is trying to say that Chris Black is just Marquis Maze 3.0.

I'd be ok with that. We just gotta get something out of CB1. If we get good maze or good jones, we'll take it. If we get a guy who doesn't show up, we have a problem. Also, I wonder if we won't see CB1 used out of the backfield some. He's taken snaps from RB in the past and drew some comparisons to Percy coming out of high school. With the RB depth being what it is, we are gonna have to get creative with some of the extra carries. What would yall think about using black out of the backfield some?

Ok player, rarely a difference maker. We'll be glad to have had his success, but upset that he was never better than he was.

I would too actually. I loved Marquis Maze. Dude wasn't the most physically talented but was a fiery competitor. I'll never forget the look on his face when he had to pull up on the punt return against LSU in the title game. He had tears in his eyes knowing that was his last play in Crimson. I get the feels just thinking about it.

A once serviceable player who plateaued and may very well be regressing at this point

Yeahh but Black has never really even been serviceable...he has only one way to go and that's up. But I have faith in the guy and I'm not counting him out just because of the A day game.

Coach Lupoi has really done a good job with the outside backers. I was impressed. He has certainly been a major upgrade.
