yeah sometimes he shows flashes of being a game changer on D. then other times he disappears. He's better than a lot of the LBs auburn has had the past few years.
He does need to be more consistent, agreed.

If he can manage that, and learn under Will Muschamp, he could become one of the best linebackers in the country and become a fairly high draft pick.

Why was he only good enough to start 7 games?

#BCJC

Honestly, I think they were trying to throw DJ Welter a bone for being a fifth year guy. No one can understand why that decision was made. The statistics bear out that it was a stupid one.

The answer is, I have no idea. Coaches were stupid. You'll be happy to know that Beckwith became the starter after the Auburn game.

I don't see why that matters.

Where tackles are made are just as important as actually making them. If they didn't, the game wouldn't award a team a first down for gaining ten yards.

I would take both Kris Frost and Cass McKinzy over Kendall Beckwith, as they outproduced him in 2014.

I believe both of those guys started most if not all season. Beckwith did not become a starter until game 7. He had by far the best stats of any SEC middle linebacker in the 2nd half of the season.

yeah i think he plays a little upright and stiff sometimes. but he's got good instincts, speed, and power. i think better conditioning might help his game. How many years does he have left?

Not a huge difference, IMO. Auburn was right at 70 plays per game, LSU was right at 65.

That's plenty. The difference amounts to another games worth of chances for LSU.

Yeah our OL is definitely better. The only way you can really say their RB's are better is to go off of recruiting rankings. However, when it comes down to the actual product on the field then the combo of JWill and AC3 is better than Fournette.

That's a really good list, but Prescott might not be first or second team. He's a gamer, but not a nightmare for opponents.

I mean, besides that whole leading the SEC in total TDs thing, he is harmless.

FWIW, Dak had 41 offensive TDs in 2014 and the entire Tennessee football team had 43.

Dak Prescott multiple TD games in SEC play - 2014
at LSU - 3
v. Texas A&M - 5
v. Auburn - 3
at Kentucky - 3
at Alabama - 2
v. Vanderbilt - 4
at Ole Miss - 2

Y'all's defense definitely turned it up a notch (or six) down the stretch. He really had a great season and was, without a doubt, the Heisman favorite entering early- to mid-November.

Evan Engram didn't leave Oxford and outgained all other SEC TEs by 150 yards last season. DWI.
