I'll save you some time. Just get one of those Happy Birthday signs, buy a cheap cake, and let the kid play with the box. Because he's not going to remember shite from his 1st birthday.

And get a water gun. Year old kids CAN'T figure out who is shooting them with a water gun if you're in a group of people. If you're kid is real smart, let people take turns..
