All Auburn had to do was beat a 4-5 Alabama team to win their second consecutive SEC Western Division title.

Yep. Tyler Watts got hurt in the first series of the Mississippi State game. Zow came in and led the Tide to victory, stopping a three game losing streak. Watts could have gone against Auburn but Fran decided to stick with Zow. The rest, as they say, is history.

Wrong game.
The infamous screen pass to Ed Scissum was the 1997 game.
Bruce Arians was back in the NFL by 2001.

Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is. You still get hardware from the SEC that says division champs.
