No. I don't know where either are going. The post was about recent rumors, which were particularly interesting to me given all of the "Kasongo to MSU anytime now" posts over here the last few days. Nobody had been talking Kasongo to LSU for quite some time until this weekend.
It sounds like Sampson is committing this morning. We'd be happy to have either Newman or Kasongo along with Sampson if he does in fact sign with LSU.

Wouldn't Sampson pretty much eliminate you from getting Malik? I think so. Sampson is a great get though

Exactly. Timing of Lavin leaving St Johns coinciding with Newman drifting from LSU worked out well. Sampson obviously isn't the player that Newman is, but having a solid 3 year guy who can play 2 or 3 is great for LSU. Also, LSU would have put Newman at the point, and watching these all-star games it is obvious that he's more comfortable playing off ball.
Is Kasongo going to take both of his remaining visits? If so, who is gonna get the last one?

I think a lot of Tiger fans are still holding on to the info in this link from last summer. The guy certainly has the physical ability to help out an SEC team. Would not be shocked to see State get him.

Newman also realized that Simmons will be playing point much of the time and the Tigers already have some decent backups there. Sampson is a great get by CJJ.
