Which players do you think had the best year of any in the last ten years?

My number 1 is Cam Newton 2010. I think he was as close to unstoppable as i have ever seen.

Then Tyrann Matthieu 2011. He was just uncanny all season. I don't think i have seen many defensive players completely takeover games like he did, and very few CBs.

3. JFF 2012
4. Tebow 2008
5. Cooper 2015

Probably not as solid in the last three.

Not 100% sure, but 2011 T-Rich may be up there in the top 10 or so. Were his numbers earth shattering? No, but even his 2 or 3 yard runs were highlight reels.

Amari Cooper 2014

Is top 5 for me. One of the most impressive seasons I've seen from a WR in this conference.

Jarvis Landry on 3rd downs 2012-13
Cam in 2010
Alabamas entire defense in 2011
TM7 in 2011
Amari Cooper last year
Those are the best I can think of off the top of my head.

Cam Newton in 2010 is hands down number 1.

I'll never forget walking out of Jordan-Hare after he lead the comeback against USC. I wasn't even that mad because I knew I'd just witnessed something special in person and that Auburn would be in ATL if we got there.

Have to admit I was pretty pissed after the SEC Championship game though

Patrick Peterson 2010. They really just didn't even throw it his way the whole season, and when they did it wasn't anything good.

Cam Newton is undisputed #1
Tim Tebow #2 - never the athlete that Cam Newton was, but the sheer determination to just win.

I personally think if you give Cam and Timothy the same team, Tebow wins by sheer virtue of determination. Dude would not quit until the very end.

Statistically, Tebow's Heisman year in 2007 is his best. First QB with 30 passing TD's and 20 rushing TD's in a single season.

Passing: 3286 yards with 32 TD's and 6 Int
Rushing: 895 yards with 23 TD's
Averaged 321 total yards per game

For comparison sake Newton in 2010 with one extra game:

Passing: 2854 yards with 30 TD's and 7 Int
Rushing: 1473 yards with 21 TD's
Averaged 309 total yards per game

The 2011 Alabama Crimson Tide Defense.

Total Defense: 183.6 YPG (1st in NCAA)
Scoring Defense: 8.2 PPG (1st in NCAA)
Rushing Defense: 72.15 YPG (1st in NCAA)
Passing Defense: 111.5 YPG (1st in NCAA)

That defense was literally a force of nature. They didn't record that many sacks or interceptions, at least not when you compare them to some other great defenses of years past. They just refused to let you move the ball. If you got a first down they took it very personally.

IN no particular order:

Tebow 2007--incredible

Cam 2010--couldn't stop him

Manziel 2012--couldn't catch him

DMac/Felix 2006/07--best RB duo; their version of the wildcat was the best ever
