I'd be no contest, Florida would blow away the competition.

TN has a VERY strong team. All-Time DL and QB are tops in the league.

Doug Atkins/Reggie White at DE, with Peyton Manning at QB. That would be the NFL network's number 2 and 9 greatest pass rushers of all time.

QB - Steve Tanneyhill (Connor Shaw)
RB - George Rogers
RB - Marcus Lattimore (too bad we cannot get Duce Staley in here somewhere)
WR - Sterling Sharpe
WR - Alshon Jeffery
WR - Sidney Rice (could make an argument for McKinley or Williamson though.) (or Robert Brooks)
TE - Jared Cook (Willie Scott)
OT - Earnest Dye
OT - Travelle Wharton
OG - AJ Cann
OG - Calvin Stephens (Del Wilkes)
C - Lou Sossamon (I'm thinking of someone else here)

K - Ryan Succop
P - Spencer Lanning

DE - JD Clowney
DE - John Abraham
DT - Andrew Provence
DT - Melvin Ingram (I can see Melvin at DE or even LB, but not DT amigo) (Kelcy Quarrels)
OLB - Eric Norwood (or Melvin Ingram or Corey Miller) tough call
OLB - Gerald Dixon (or Melvin Ingram)
ILB - Jasper Brinkley
Spur - Antonio Allen (Tony Watkins trust me - or even Mike Durrah)
CB - Dunta Robinson (or Jonathan Joseph)
CB - Stephon Gilmore (or Bobby Bryant)
S - Sheldon Brown (or Brad Edwards)(or 1st team All-American Rick Sanford)(or Rashad Faison one of my favs all-time)
S - DJ Swearinger

Just a few ideas for options in bold CiyE. Some of them are really tough calls to make - really tough. Solid roster any way you look at it.

Sheeesh. How could I have forgotten to include The Patriot!

Saw Del not too long ago out on the golf course.

Really impossible to compare eras, but Forrest Blue was probably the best Auburn center of all time.

William Andrews or Tommie Agee at FB.

Larry Willingham at CB.

Tucker Fredrickson at safety over Buddy McClinton.

I would vote for Lutz at TE.

I would replace Parker Hall with Kayo Dottley if you want to go old school. Couldn't count very well on the golf course, but I don't hold that against his football skills.

Youre forgetting a three-time all-American at LB, Woodrow Lowe.

Bottom line, a few of Alabama's stud LBs are gonna be left out.

I love Don Hutson as much as the next guy, he damn near invented the WR position as we know it at Green Bay.......

But you put Julio on that team every time and twice on sunday, it's not fair because people weren't built the way there are now back in Don's time but it's Julio and Amari

As if we would've done any better with someone who choked even more than Peyton.

Edit: And guess who had more wins over teams that finished ranked than Murray?

I know that many will say I'm crazy...but if I'm talking about college quarterbacks from Georgia...Eric Zeier scares me much more than Aaron Murray. Murray had more passing yards overall...but look at the receivers he had vs what Zeier was throwing to.

I'd probably take Tarkenton if not Murray. Zeier was of course great and held the same records Murray now holds for years, but Murray has a rare toughness and drive to win.

If an Alabama fan lists someone other than AJ McCarron, I'll personally fight you IRL. He was, far and away, the GOAT Alabama quarterback.

Owns every statistical category, including wins.
Meh. It's definitely up for debate. We threw the ball more with AJ than we ever did with Stabler and Namath. Hell, Andrew Zow was our leading passer at one point. AJ also played in more games.

Personally, I would have loved to see what Brodie Croyle could have done behind a good OL and with some good WRs.

Question for the dogs fans: Why Murray over Stafford and Green?

Murray was by far and away the better college QB of the three choices. Greene's high TD in a season was 22. Stafford's was 25. Murray's was 36. He'll never be the pro QB Stafford is but if you put him on the 2002 team that would have been the far and away best team in the country. I have never seen a UGA QB play as well as Murray in the 4th quarter vs Auburn in 2013.
