I'm guessing the Maten connection paid off here.

Great pull, crossing my fingers for another tourney birth in '16

Definitely have tourney potential next year and hopefully moving forward. Would still love to see us land a 5th year transfer big. Our perimeter players will be special next year, get average play from the frontcourt and we can be really good.
I know teams are desperate for bigs in the spring period but this kids offer list the last few weeks is impressive.
Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas State, Marquette, Oklahoma State, Pittsburg, SMU and Auburn.

Do we still have room for brown if we get really lucky?

UGA would make room for Brown or Tevin Mack

We would definitely make room somehow. I have heard we are actively pursuing a 5th year transfer big man who could help right away so guarantee we would take Tevin and are actively still pursuing Jaylen.

Hoop Dawgs is the preferred vernacular

Mack isn't committed to VCU?

After Smart left he asked for his release. I think he's going to end up at Texas.

been odd that more information about Mack hasn't come out. I'm sure VCU will give him his release. Don't see why they would not allow him to sign with Texas but they do get the option to limit where he goes. He really likes Coach Smart.
His mom liked Fox and UGA's academics. Not too mention it is much closer. Thought when the news came out she might influence him to look at us again (we were his 2nd choice) but not hearing any news on that yet makes me doubt it will happen.

Yeah, we'll see but I really do think he'll end up with Smart in Austin. We could use him because the kid has a very solid shot and seems fairly quick, but he is not that athletic at all. Kid can barely dunk at 6'6". That may change with a college strength and conditioning program, but he definitely needs to get better in that regard. That being said he had ok handles and his shot would help space the floor a lot for us and I would take him in a heartbeat.

Any word/rumors on possible transfers?

I'm hoping for John brown from high point but I think he's staying. Would be an awesome get, and would elevate our program to the next level. Still waiting on Brown and Eubanks. We'll make room for either or both if we have to.

I think this guy moves pretty well, has decent hands but looks like a project in the post. I don't think he's learned any post moves yet and he plays well below the rim when posting up. With that being said, he runs the floor well and looks to have some athleticism.

we aren't recruiting Eubanks anymore. Moved on from him. His recruitment has been odd. Hearing we might be in on a 5th year transfer big man though. I"m really hoping that is the case.
Saw we reached out to Mack today, along with some big programs, UNC, Kansas and obviously Texas.
