2009 Was one of the best Clemson defenses in a while, 2010 was definitely solid... But there was a HUGE dropoff in 2011.

This is kind of a response thread but why is Steele such a dreadful hire considering he wasn't that bad at Clemson? Plus LSU has more talent and experience than that 2011 Clemson team. Just interesting to me.

I'll withhold judgement until I see what LSU's defense does this upcoming year. Just seemed like an underwhelming hire for LSU at the time.

Lotsa folks thought the same of Chief. A majority of those that did were wearing Ernge at the time.
Seriously...Lots of folks mentioned we'd hate 3rd and Chavis. Which though we had athletes that helped lessen its impact at times, it still reared its ugly head.

Yeah but how much of that was bitter Tenn fans?
I could see them being pissed at yall. Post Chavis they fell off a cliff and he was an alum there.

He's not the HC at LSU and Baylor was dreadful before, immediately after, and during Steele's tenure

I posted about his time at Baylor where he won 1 conference game in 4 years but it appears to have been removed. Are you swamp kittens so insecure that you requested an admin when I posted Kevin Steele's 1-31 conference record? Really? That's adorable.
