Grant is returning to Gainesville to replace McCall who got the HC job at Chattanooga. Not a real surprising move.

He was going to take some time off, once the job came open most knew that wouldn't last. Donovan, Grant and Pelphrey are incredibly close.

I'm glad for him. He is a good guy and he was a damn good assistant at UF.

Pelphrey wasn't on the staff for the championships, he was at South Alabama. They were together when Donovan was first hired at UF and we went to the championship game in 2000.

I really liked the guy. He just couldn't get it to work at Bama. Wish him nothing but the best going forward.

honestly it doesn't seem like donovan would put grant on the squad at this point if he was gonna just leave soon. i guess nothing is in stone whatsoever and he could just be hooking grant up with a sneaky paycheck while he/grant looks for a new job.
