Shaka Smart, Grant at VCU. Larry Shyatt is doing good things at Wyoming as is Pitino at Minnesota. Donnie Jones has done well at Marshall and UCF but dealing with some scholarship issues on top of the transition to the Big East.
McCall is a future star, he could definitely be replacing Donovan one day.

Caple did well at VCU, not so well at OU.
The common denominator would be VCU as none of their stars has done well after VCU.
The Donovan coaching tree is a pretty weak sapling over all.

Could be, haven't seen a situation where Duke has needed a coach since they became a top 5 job.

Donovan isn't leaving for another college job, especially not Duke where he has zero connection.
