I think he ends up at Kentucky. Cal lost a lot of player and I doubt he wants a team full of one and dones again.

Must be nice to start out with a class like Cal did in 2009.

I have a theory on why Ingram is delaying. It could be that AJ has a few studs he is waiting to hear from that no one knows about and is waiting on their answer first?

I wouldn't put much stock in that theory.

I think he's waiting to see if he could actually receive an offer from UK before signing with Alabama.

is he only UK's radar? Seems like UK has bigger fish to fry then a 3 star

They have much bigger people on their radar but if they are spurned by those guys, Ingram is enough of a fallback option for Calipari to have called him yesterday.

Wish some of you would let go this whole 3star stuff. He came and got Bledsoe and he was a 3 star for majority of his senior year. As far as your theory I don't know where youre getting it from. I don't see a bigger guy that we have a chance for than Ingram. Plus he is a instate kid and you don't just tell him no.

not saying we dont need him. But AJ has said some tough decisions will have to be made.

Don't see this kid being part of that. Pretty sure his delay is because he waiting to see if Kentucky offers. Now AJ could not want to wait for him and take someone else.

isnt the late signing period the 15th. Things got to break real soon

They can sign from then until school starts in August.

well he is...and if UK thinks hes underrated then so be it but most just think UK could and probably will do better than him.

who said anything about telling him no?

So im guessing you missed the part where I said he was a 3 star for MAJORITY of his senior year.
Posted on 4/12/15 at 8:53 pm to Tide or Die87
so what was he at the end of the year

Not going to go back and forth with you but your theory makes no sense

Ingram could commit to bama at any second and AJ would gladly accept that commitment. The delay is on Ingram's end, not Bama's.

I believe Ingram has already taken 4 visits (Wichita, UAB, us and Houston) so he should have one remaining. We won't know how serious Kentucky is until he schedules a visit.
Has anybody on this board read Malcolm Gladwell's big fish/small pond theory? He makes the case that a student will be better off making high grades at an upper-mid university instead of struggling at an Ivy League institution. The same thinking can be applied to recruiting as well, especially basketball. At Bama, Ingram will be given more attention from the staff because there will be more urgency for him to perform as soon as he arrives. Sure practicing against Mickey D's AA will help his game, but he'd develop at an accelerated rate with increased PT in actual games. That would be my angle if I were recruiting Ingram.
Thoughts?
