Yeah the article about their relationship has been posted a few times

The 7 guys entering the draft from UK doesn't help anyone else chasing him

He plays in the Hoop Summit Saturday afternoon if you want to see him

"(Johnson) said he likes his athleticism and with hard work, he feels like the sky is the limit," Dorsey said. "The main thing I want to make sure is that he goes to 'Bama and gets his education. That's our main thing. Everything else will be the icing on the cake."

Hall remains 100 percent committed to Alabama and has no intentions of getting a release from his scholarship. He'll enroll at Alabama for the first summer session, Dorsey said.

Hall was also impressed with his new head coach.

"He's got to put in the work and I think he's excited about he develops players," Dorsey said. "Not like the previous coach wasn't going to, but I know that he really stressed that quite a bit. He's very excited about playing when he gets up there.

Avery Johnson met up with Brandon Austin:
quote:

"He told Brandon to get ready and there was a lot of hard work and toe the rope and get ready to go," Jackson told AL.com. "There's going to be a lot of straining and putting in long hours to get things right. That's what's expected.

He then took the opportunity to speak to 20-25 Montgomery area high school basketball coaches:

quote:

"He really believes in high school coaches and what they do for kids. He was adamant about talking about that, getting kids to be young men and able to step up to the next level. He talked about that a lot. He thanked me for helping get Brandon in the position that he's in."

"He told a little bit about himself and I thought that was top of the line," Jackson said. "We know he's busy and we know he's trying to hit everywhere and hit all these visits he has to get to once you get that type of job.

"He waited around and made sure he shook every hand and introduced himself and took some pictures with most of the coaches. He told them he was excited and definitely wants them to come and visit and be a part of Alabama basketball. That's super."

LINK Nice to see Avery already starting to make in-roads in Alabama.

He may not lure in an amazing class this year because he joined so late in the process, but I have a good feeling next year's is going to be pretty good.

Signing Malik would be crazy awesome.

I like how Avery took pictures with all the coaches at that meeting. He is starting off awesome.

Quick question for anybody who may know about the Dazon Ingram situation. If CAG broke the "typical" contact rules since he committed and signed a financial aid agreement.. could we have a Womack situation on our hands if he signs elsewhere?

I think we may have a shot with Josh Langford. I know the guy who trains him from time to time. He wants to go to Mich. Says he likes the way the coach develops players. Hopefully AJ could play that angle. Oh yea J. Petty is waiting for Kentucky. I don't believe he will get that offer but we will see.

Well that sucks, but hopefully we can fill his spot with somebody equal talent or better and with more eligibility.

Hate it for Tarrant though, especially since he was hurt last year. I'll be pulling for him to land in a good spot and have a good year.

Ingram isn't currently committed, and I don't this this is a dead period so I really don't think the two cases are similar.
