Spiritual happenings, ghosts, psychics, Quiji boards, etc.

Does being an atheist mean you believe no event with these things have ever had an ounce of truth to them?

This question relies on the belief that if there is something after this life, a God that the atheist doesn't believe in is some way involved with it in some compactly. If this isn't your belief just say so.

As usual, you know the drill with threads like this. Here are your girls.

I don't believe in ghosts. I believe that peoples minds make up shite to rationalize things that they can't explain.

No I just think we need to start paying to start these kinds of threads. Think of these girls as bitcoins. Bitchicks... It cost me 4 bitchicks to start this sub-par thread. A price I gladly pay cause I'm a good guy and don't want to make yall read a thread without receiving the bitchick exchange rate on it.

Some of yall are starting threads that would require 40+ bitchicks. Don't start those threads.

I work with an atheist and she believes in ghosts....she also says "bless you" whenever someone sneezes which is kinda moronic if you're an atheist.

Not really. She's not saying "god bless you." Why is the word "bless" associated with religion?

Technically you maybe correct but provide me specifics on when the word "bless" (or blessed, blessing, etc) would be used without the religious connotation. Not trolling here.

I'm pretty sure it's associated with the idea of angels. Or preventing ones soul from leaving the body. A way to "bless" one from evil spirits.

It's become ingrained in our society as a nicety and the polite thing to say when someone sneezes, religious beliefs aside.

Shoulda swung by my place at 1010 N. J St., Tacoma, WA, winter of 1971-72. You'd be a believer.

I'm agnostic, and I believe in the paranormal. I'm not sure if "ghosts" is the right word, but definitely the paranormal. Seen and heard too much weird shite that has absolutely no other explanation.

Just because there's something after this life doesn't necessarily mean there is a god.

I've personally had a paranormal event happen to me. I don't care what people say, I know it's real.

When you feel a hand grip your shoulder out of thin air, hear your name called loud and clear, and have your kitchen cabinets fly open and plates fall out everywhere, you'll believe pretty quick

No, it does not.

Atheism is the rejection of deities, not the afterlife. One could argue that a place like heaven or hell could exist without their corresponding deities.
