Hearing from multiple sources that Bobby Portis will declare for the NBA draft while Michael Qualls will return to Arkansas for senior year.

Even more #NBA Draft entries, as #Razorbacks Bobby Portis and Kentucky’s Dakari Johnson will go early. #BBN

Nothing too concrete, however. Starting to see a lot of smoke on Bobby declaring though.

no Bobby but thank goodness please Qualls.

Every time I look on this board I wince lately wondering about them, I'm ready to know one way or the other.

Best of luck to both regardless of course.

I'll wait for better outlets, Swaim just retweets and paraphrases stuff he sees.

Just prepare yourself, hearing the same on the Bobby from my guys, he's decided. Heard back from the NBA advisory board along with Dakari Johnson yesterday.

Look forward to watching Portis in the NBA although I don't think he'll be much of a factor his first year or two, should have a solid career though, because he will just keep getting better.

We all need to prepare our anus for Razorback basketball next year. Gonna be fugly.

We'll take a step back next year but if MA can recruit at least one top 50 big and sign our one year wonder, we'll be poised for greatness in 2017.

You severely underestimate Qualls' importance to the team. We'll be fine. It was Michael that carried us the last 3 weeks of the season. It's his team.

Front line of Thompson, Williams, and Kingsley, with hardly any depth behind them except a guy that's in high school right now coming off a pinched nerve injury.

Stick Qualls at SF "IF" he returns, helps, but I see nothing but pain in our future for next year.

Maybe MA pulls a rabbit out of the hat and gets some front line help in here late or he comes up with some small ball concept with our guard depth and pulls out some games.

Other than that you're just setting yourself up for disappointment to think we can even make the tournament.

This is what I figured would happen. I think both guys made the right choice.

I was referring to the NCAA tournament.

NIT is certainly a possibility.

If Portis leaves and Hogs make the NCAA tourney next year, MA should be voted Coach of the Year.

We can survive an off year.

Me too.

How anyone could fail to see Qualls was the leader of this team is beyond me, he means more than Portis. Open your eyes, it was so so obvious down the stretch.

Luckily for us, rebounding/defense is the one area that Kingsley has/can excel at. It's not like Portis was a monster down low on the glass averaging 10 or 12 boards per game, he averaged a nice 8.6 rpg in the SEC, good for 4th in the conference. Solid, but nothing to say "omg how are we going to replace that?".

Another key to that will be Qualls himself, he can rebound so damn well when he wants to get in there and use his athleticism, like he did vs UNC when we knew we were at a disadvantage on the glass, he grabbed 10 boards and was flying all over the place. He has the ability to grab 7-10 boards per game (he averaged 5.3 this year).

Hogs will be fine.

Some in this thread were melting for weeks over the Clemson loss and how the season was over because of it.

Also.. that guy and his sources are probably not as good as the ones that predicted John Gruden to be our football coach.
