So far, so good this spring for the top three junior college prospects of the previous recruiting cycle.

All three signed with Southeastern Conference football programs and all three have made some noise during spring practice.
quote:

Jovon Robinson, RB, Auburn

The dynamic Robinson, who bounced back to the Tigers from Georgia Military College (he originally signed with and enrolled at Auburn before transferring), broke off a long touchdown run during Auburn’s recent scrimmage and appears to be the favorite to replace departed starting running back Cameron Artis-Payne. That means that the thought, which several college coaches and recruiting analysts expressed when he was a recruit, that Robinson could potentially enter the Heisman mix this season on the plains is alive. Tigers back-up quarterback Sean White praised Robinson, saying that the 229-pounder had the “speed to take it the distance” and that he “easily” breaks arm tackles.

Robinson was the No. 1 junior college prospect in the 2015 cycle per 247Sports Composite rankings.
quote:

Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee

Kamara, who signed with Alabama out of high school before transferring to Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College and then bouncing back to Tennessee, was thought to be a missing ingredient for the Vols offense. So far, that has been the case and then some as nearly every spring practice has featured someone- be it UT head coach Butch Jones or a teammate, praising Kamara’s ability. “We know anytime Alvin touches the ball that he can break it,” receiver Josh Malone said. “As a group of wide receivers, we feel like if we secure the perimeter, he’s gonna have big, big days.” Kamara is a dynamic, fast running back, something Tennessee has not had in quite some time. You add him to the existing talent on that side of the ball and suddenly what was a good Vols offense last season becomes potentially great and certainly more explosive.

Kamara was the No. 2 junior college prospect in the 2015 cycle per 247Sports Composite rankings.
quote:

Marquavius Lewis, DE, South Carolina

Lewis was at the top of the Gamecocks depth chart at defensive end prior to spring practice commencing and the 6-foot-4, 265-pounder from Hutchinson (Kan.) Junior College hasn’t disappointed. He’s South Carolina’s best defensive lineman already- ahead of the others on the roster- and he’s only had approximately one month of spring practice at the major college level. Lewis has strength and excellent athleticism. He can shed blocks. He hustles and can close on the passer. Right away, he upgrades what was the worst defensive line in the SEC last season and gives the entire Gamecocks defense a chance heading into 2015.

Lewis was the No. 3 junior college prospect nationally per 247Sports Composite rankings.

I wonder if it will be UGA or UT that Auburn plays for the SEC in Atlanta?
