Bama gets a name that makes a splash and a coach with potential to do good things.
Bama haters get to point to swing and miss on Marshall and plenty of criticism of new hire.
Marshall gets a shitload more money.
Avery is back in coaching at program that will be difficult to sustain success but has potential and plenty of money.
And the rant has something to talk about for a few more days until something else interesting comes along to rustle our jimmies.

I thought Marshall might do it.
Bama is a solid program all-time in SEC.
Wimp certainly won pretty big there.
Not sure why people are negative.

I like the hire. I think we're fighting above our weight class this time. But I am amazed that anyone would call it a "homerun" hire, unless we're really watering down that term.
If Johnson is a homerun hire, then I guess Marshall would have been a 2 or 3 run homer, and what would you call hiring Izzo or Coach K? A grand slam?

Not happening. Was offered Lakers job years ago. Will retire at Duke.
