So I'm 24 and spending the weekend at my moms place for Easter, my parents are divorced and my mom has been casually dating a guy for a little while and occasionally he stays the night which is perfectly fine it's her house and she's a grown woman

The issue is that last night they get home and we all go to bed and my rooms wall backs up to their room, of course you can see where I'm going with this a fairly soon I begin to hear noises that makes its obvious they're having sex and this goes on for a while. Thankfully I could only hear him and didn't have to hear my mom

Now the question is how do I handle this? Again, I don't really care if they have sex as they are adults I jsut think she should have a little more respect for me than to do so on one of the few weekends I'm staying here and at least should make damn sure Idk it if they do

Really, I know better than to post something like this here as I'm sure I'll be told how big of a whore my mom is and how Shaft gives her the shaft all the time when I'm not here but I just don't know who else to ask about this.

When my gf and i stay here we show her the respect of not having sex bc my mom claims to not really like the fact that we sleep in the same bed together due to her "morals" and now this bullshite. Not trying to overreact but to me this is bullshite

It would be the last time my Mom said that to me.

It's all good

Strangely, I don't blame the guy. I'm not his son and it's not his job to Worry about me

Oh yeah, I don't think she will be mentioning it again after I figure out how to say something to her about it

She knows something's up bc we were all supposed to go to church this morning and I told her I wasn't going which surprised her, when she asked why I just said I had changed my mind

just tell them you appreciate them welcoming you home but it is not very considerate to be fricking all night, especially for a light sleeper. I'm only here for x amount of days and I'm sure you guys can go without sex for a day or 2.

Or just counter them with a threesome.

So because it's your mom she shouldn't enjoy herself because of you? It's her house so either don't stay there or remember that sex is normal.

You should have gone to church with your mother dude.

But no one wants to hear their mom getting fricked just like a dad wouldn't want to hear their daughter getting fricked no matter how normal it is.

I would just explain it similar to how you just did regarding how she feels about you and your GF sleeping together unmarried while she does the same. Before someone tells me, I know it is her house, if that was the reason she should've said that instead of moral feels.

I don't think you're being unreasonable since I imagine that'd be pretty weird. Seems like you're being calm about it.

You should definitely RA shaft, though.

Edit: I see someone mentioned the "it's her house" already. I doubt she would want her son coming home and not staying at her house. Most mothers wouldn't.

Let your Mom get hers, but if she tries to call you on the "morals" of being with your GF while there then it's fair game to be brought up.

Just make sure you've eaten breakfast and packed before you do it.

No, but if he disrespected me the way he did you, he better hope can whip my arse.

Dude knew what the he was doing. He knew how much noise he was making. It would be the last time he came around when I was there.

You've just added to my long lost of reasons not to have kids. Don't stay at your moms house if her personal life has to revolve around your needs. You're a grown arse man. Get a hotel room.

Next time you and your gf stay there light it up the louder the better and your mom will get the hint.

Serious answer just let it go, she's a grown woman and it's her house, if the walls are that thin go sleep in another room.

You should say the following as soon as possible.

By the sounds of last night I'm assuming our discussion of where my girlfriend sleeps is done?

You should have banged on the wall and told them to "turn the TV down you're trying to sleep!"

No matter how you bring it up, if you do, it's gonna be uncomfortable. I might just make a comment that I didn't sleep well and let it go. Next time, I'd tell her I am getting a hotel, and when she asks why, tell her you think she needs her privacy, and the double standard over your girlfriend makes you uncomfortable. Especially if the douche canoe is still around. My guess is he won't last long. He seems very disrespectful, and I would imagine she will pick up on that.

Simple comment about how you'd forgotten how thin the walls were at home...trust me, she did not want you to hear her having sex.

Is the fella a dickhead? If so, some sort of revenge is called for. If not, it was probably just a little too much wine and once you comment on the thin walls their guilt will be enough punishment
