Is this slightly troubling to anyone else in regards to our QB talent evaluating and development?

I think it tell us our other Quaterbacks(Cornwell and Barnett) are doing really good. That's how I took it anyway, could be wrong though.

Not really. What made me question our QB evaluation was taking Bateman, McLeod and Del Rio one year then trying to take 2 the next year (Cornwell and Park). If you have to take 5 QBs in 2 years, then obviously you don't trust your own evaluations and hoping you get lucky using the shotgun approach.

When was Bateman moved to WR? He looked fantastic last year.

He's spent the majority of the media viewing period the last couple practices at WR

I take it as a good sign, that 1 or both of the younger was are tearing it up. Makes Bateman the most likely to transfer before the season starts though.

Can we all agree that the chances of Saban playing true freshman Blake Barnett are slim to nil?

With Coker here, probably.

Not at all. Mcelroy>McCarron>Sims>

we don't even really have any reason to question QB evaluation at this point, because its been pretty damn good.

I'd say the chances of Cooper seeing time at WR are less than that.

So we're one less QB option now for what?

Cooper Bateman is a QB, not a WR. Hopefully this was a two day experiment. Coach the kid at a position where we can actually use him or encourage him to walk.

He needs to be used as both. His YPC his sophomore year was ridiculous. Fix his fumbles and he's a crazy weapon.

Let's just move everyone to wide receiver. Never mind the fact that we already have 50 receivers on the team and no returning starting QB, and basically 1 running back with experience.

While Drake has spent some practice time at WR, I don't anticipate a position change. Looks like we plan on using him as a utility player lining up at RB and WR

Yeah Drake will be more of a swiss army knife type player. Almost like how the Patriots used Shane Vareen. Line him up in the backfield or line him up outside as a wide receiver. He can do it all so why not. We saw that catch in the Florida game...
