Well I'm really fricking glad we got Whitt then. Time to turn up the temp on Kevaughn Allen with the Donovan NBA rumors swirling.

One down.

This is out of nowhere though, I thought Babb as a true freshman showed a lot of promise for down the road as a Junior/Senior, maybe he didn't want to wait that long and knew Whitt was going to replace him day 1 and in that case I can't blame him. Nick had certainly improved late in the year.

Maybe he fears The Dust Storm...

I'm gonna take it as Babb knows Qualls will return next year. With Qualls leaving Babb was going to see a significant increase in minutes. With Qualls coming back Babb knows he will ride the pine again next season so he decided to transfer. This just may be wishful thinking but it makes me feel better.

Man that sucks. I really liked Babb's upside, though I haven't looked at Whitt and others as in depth as Nick.

I really wish this would happen. MA, make it so.

Hopefully Jimmy Whitt gets in his ear this weekend.

Not getting my hopes up though.

Babb and Whit wouldn't be playing the same position on the court, or they would have been on the court at the same time.

Sucks, but part of the college game in basketball, somehow "more playing time" is seen as a better pat after sitting out a year somewhere else than waiting a year at the current place.

Meh. Better players have been offered.

Babb is expected to transfer to SMU. Not surprising. Unless Iowa State will take him (where his brother transferred to).

I remember when people were freaking out about "losing out on" Chiozza... and Archie...

I'm not freaking out, we get who we get and I have no influence or control over that...

But KA is better than you must think.

So good he must ask MA to start recruiting him again as he isn't worth MA's time on his own...

He had an offer from Arkansas, I suppose Mike okayed it. Yes, Mike quit recruiting him when he committed to Florida. But not because he didn't want him.

If KA decommitted, who do you think would be the first person to call him?

Dale, are you the MA Apologist?

Dude, yes we have some better offers out or have had, but that doesn't mean they are signing on the line to play for the hogs. KA is a tremendous talent and we would be blessed to have him.

What is there to be apologetic about?

Whitt was plan A for the open guard slot, he is the better player.

Same with signing Beard over Chiozza, Mike got the better player.

Nobody's arguing that Whitt isn't good, but we have another guard spot open with Babb's departure.

ETA: By the way, KA is rated slightly ahead of Whitt on 247.
