Gregg Marshall's decision should be by end of weekend. Give Wichita State credit. Shockers doing everything they can to try to keep him.

More than the market rate. 4M for a coach with Marshall's resume at a program of Alabama's stature (mediocre) is definitely overpaying. But we gotta do what we gotta do.

It really does sound like Marshall is using bama as leverage for a bigger or better deal from WSU. Bama may be going home from this battle empty handed, and Marshall is gonna walk away with a bigger wallet

It's what coaches do in the off-season. Hell, Les Miles got a damn nice raise and a golden parachute buyout from LSU recently. Nick Saban held Bama hostage over that Texas bullshite last season and racked up another couple of million to his salary. It is what it is.

No it doesnt if you are an intelligent person. Because it could be either him trying to get more money or them scrambling for one final offer. There isnt enough details to make an intelligent conclusion.

This potentially happens in all negotiations.

Marshall is gonna walk away with a bigger wallet

Well duh, either way he gets paid more.

If this was your best troll attempt you need more practice. If you thought this was an interesting or intelligent contribution then you are a lost cause.

$4million for Marshall is way too much IMO. But it does nothing to my wallet and the AD can damn sure afford it so what do I care?

What does any of this have to do with all the Bama arrests?

Gotta love the rant:

quote:

Alabama targeting Marshall

You'll never get him, Bama basketball sucks.

quote:

Bama offers 4 million

He gone. No way to pass up that much

quote:

wichita state enhancing package

He's just using Alabama for leverage.

Never have so many with so little info been SO sure of themselves.

Exactly. Maybe our only chance of one day having a great bball program is to shoot the moon and snag a guy like Marshall for way too much. If we can afford it, go for it. I'm tired of being mediocre.

A pleasant departure from those meathead thugs. Let us divert all we want, it's been a rough 5 days.

To be fair.....I saw bama fans say it was written in stone that Marshall was telling his team Tues. morning that he was coming to bama. Errybody would know by Tues. at lunch.

Word is GM's daughter has domestic issues. Could be a snag.

Gotta break the cycle and $4mm/yr for a coach won't break the Bryant Bank.

Meh, unfortunately, every team will probably get its turn in the barrel before the season starts.

Is there serious thought that one of the Koch brothers would chip in for salary?

To be fair, I saw Auburn fans sporting the #FreeUAB hashtags and all in an uproar about UAB football....... I don't judge all of y'all based on a stupid few.
