Kentucky is reloading, but going to lose 5-6 players. Could be a down year by their standards. Still a elite 8 type team. Florida should be much better, bringing in a few 4 star recruits, Borderline top 25/bubble team. Arkansas has a chance to be a top 10 team if Qualls and Portis come back, which is looking likely, along with 4 star recruits coming in. Carolina is bringing in an elite top 20 class, along with returning our blue collar guys. Should be a borderline top 25 team. LSU lost there best players, but add Simmons and Blankley. Possible top 20 team if JJ uses his bench more. Aggies are bring in a top 5 cla$$ thanks to Stansbury. Only a matter of time before they are caught by the NCAA. Vandy should be a bubble team. Auburn NIT. UGA should be bubble.

My predictions
1. Arkansas (IF Portis and Qualls are back)
2. UK
3. LSU
4. Florida
5. Carolina
6. Texas A&M
7. Vandy

UGA will be slightly worse than this season, but the rest of the league will likely be improved, so I think bubble is a fair assessment.

UK still #1, they will just out talent everyone

Ark #2 if Portis comes back, LSU #2 is he doesn't (those 2 you can flip flop)

Behind that it's tough to judge. Vandy should be very good, Florida has got to bounce back, A&M should be good...not sold on South Carolina

In:

1. UK
2. LSU
3. Arky
4. Florida

Probably in:

5. A&M
6. USCe

Bubble:

7. Vandy
8. UGA(unless we miraculously land Jaylen Brown)

I don't see the rest. Maybe Auburn or UT could surprise

Hogs are a contender if Portis/Qualls are back...nationally. The incoming freshman already look better than the players they lose.

If Portis leaves...Hogs are middle of the pack. Qualls is more fun to watch but easier to replace (and one of the new recruits will be able to fill that hole). There isn't another big man anywhere close to Portis.

Note: FWIW...the NBA Mock draft folks have removed Portis from the 2015 mock draft. Interestingly enough as of yesterday they had both he and Qualls going to Boston in the 2016 draft.

I still don't see USCe being a tournament team. I hope I'm wrong bc I really like Martin as a coach.

I could really see Vandy working their way up to 4th in SEC.

decent post, I agree about JJ using his bench more. We all saw what happened to Mickey at the end of the season. He was just worn down and cost us a round of 32 visit.

Anyone worried about our front court next year?

Unless Barnes lands a couple of big recruits, UT is gonna be near the bottom of the conference. Tyndall not being able to recruit during the season is going to kill us.

1. UK - To be the man, you gotta beat the man.
2. Arky - If Portis and Qualls come back.
3. UF - Donovan won't be down for long.
4. LSU - Jones should finish higher but pisses away more talent than anyone.
5. OM - Don't know what they have but thought they'd suck this year and Kennedy won.
6. A&M - Big class coming in for A&M.
7. Vandy - The youth now has experience.
8. UGA - I should have them higher, but I don't know what they return.
9. SC - Martin breaks out a bit more next year.
10. Aub - Pearl will win a few more.
11. UT - Barnes has some talent to work with.
12. Bama - Gotta see who they hire first.
13. MSU - Good hire but now he needs the players.
14. MU - Will win fewer games than last year.

If Ark can get Qualls and Portis back that will be impressive.

Gonna be very similar to how I felt this past year though...

1 UK
2a Ark
2b LSU

rest

LSU is still hopeful they can get Malik Newman and that would give LSU some serious perimeter players. Possibly add Kosongo and LSU would actually have decent post depth also.

LSU will be doing their once every four year international tour trip before the season which should have the team gelling (similar to UK this year) and I would be shocked if they ended up worse than 3rd in a much improved SEC.

Fair enough...I don't really know much about what UT is returning or recruiting, I just usually expect them to be around the bubble.

AK's coached for 9 seasons and for at least 7, maybe 8 of those, Ole Miss has been on the bubble going into Selection Sunday.

Ole Miss doesn't have a high ceiling with AK, but Ole Miss also doesn't have a low floor. He'll have his team in the mix by mixing in more JUCO/grad transfer talent.

Too many "ifs" to make a reasonable prediction outside of UK being back and UF vastly improving.

LSU could be any where from a 3-6 seed depending on Malik's decision.
Arkansas could be anywhere from a 4 seed to a bubble team depending on Qualls and Portis.
USCe, Vandy, and ATM could be tournament teams but still a bunch of question marks.
MSU could be an NIT to bubble team depending on Malik and Kasongo.
OM has an outside shot at Malik and could be a tournament team with him.
UT returns a lot but have to see how Barnes can do with them.

I agree with this, Kennedy is just solid and always finds that JUCO difference maker.
