Damn, I love this! ............................................... What is sad and funny are the Bammers who are trying to say this exonerates Taylor from being guilty of anything wrong. Most of the Country still thinks he did it, but the GF is trying to protect him. Even most of the bammers would be on that bandwagon, if he wasn't a Football Player. I laugh my arse off when they try to pretend that they are protecting the reputation of a poor black man, who is being persecuted by white society. How many bammers own "Hands up- don't Shoot" t-shirts? So now we're going the racial route, huh? Look up to my original post above for the matching response...you got it!..D-E-F-L-E-C-T-I-O-N. You fools are so easy.

The damage is done with him and Bama. He is either guilty and Saban finally saw the light. Or he was wrongly accussed and Saban crumbled under public pressure. Either way, it looks bad for Saban.

I'm hoping he isn't serious. He has been defending violence against women since Saturday. It's pretty sickening.

Agreed. Sickening is putting it mildly.

How does it look bad for Saban?

He was under a "zero tolerance" policy and was arrested with probable cause for domestic violence.

Saban reacted exactly the way he should have and said he would. "Public pressure" didn't have anything to do with it.

I've moved on to a federal agency now but did my time in NOLA where I'm from. I am not insinuating that Taylor actually committed the crime but just passing on some issues I have had while I was trying to investigate similar incidents. It must be said that responding officers face a tough task dealing with these calls, it's usually chaotic and if they think it's bullshite and don't arrest anybody and the situation goes to hell after they leave then they are liable. Just my two cents on the matter, I don't mean to offend anyone just letting you know what I've experienced. I will say that I was very relieved when LSU kicked the tires and extended no offer.

We all think we know pretty much what happened. They were drunk. They were bickering. She said some shite she at least suspected might piss him off. He punched a door. He choked her for a few seconds. The cops showed up.

She was drunk and pissed and embarrassed. He went to jail. After sobering up she started realizing that she hadn't been 100% "innocent". She had provoked him. She'd been a crazy bitch. Yeah, he shouldn't have laid his hands on her, but now his chance at the NFL is in serious jeopardy. What are her chances of snagging another future millionaire? Was it all worth it? Maybe he really does love me!

If I have a chance of being married to an NFL millionaire then this is it. I'm calling off the dogs. He never touched me. We love each other.

Same shite different day. It happens a thousand times a night with women married to/dating poor men.

He's from a different time and place, back when they were possessions, not people.

I don't think Saban gives a frick about public pressure considering the guy was on the team in the first place. Saban looks bad here, yes, but not because he kicked the guy off the team (if innocent).

You'd better tell the rest of your posse that. I had them popping their blood pressure pills last night! Now what are y'all gonna do about some type apology to Messrs Taylor and Saban?.....and is that suppose to be "seriously"?

So why kick him off the team, if he was innocent? Did he jump the gun. I would think if there was any doubt, he would have been suspended until further decisions could be made. Zero tolerance means that there was some due process. My guess is, Saban saw enough to make a decision. It is one or the other.

And, yet, if none of this had happened, and the dude became a model citizen and never had another incident regarding DV, then Saban is a master at taming the savage beast and giving him a way to use his savagery in a "good" way on the football field. He goes on to obtain a degree and possibly an NFL position, with the success and big bucks that goes along with it. Then, bringing on the questionable player is suddenly a great decision, agreed upon by all the media and rantards. It's really something how we will turn and eat our own given the slightest provocation. It's as if no team has ever brought a questionable character onto their roster in the modern history of the sport. Not only has it happened - with no negative consequences - but I would guarantee that it has happened at every SEC member school on either the FB or BB teams.

An apology? For what? Given this situation and the Geno Smith situation, what does Nick Saban deserve an apology for?

You, sir, are 100% correct. 100%. But haters are going to hate.

Y'all are the evil empire. To the victor go the spoils. If I was an Alabama grad/fan what I would do is just leave all these threads alone. There's no sense raising your blood pressure over stupidity.

It's all going to be OK. Everything is going to blow over. It's not a big deal at all. ESPN is going to squawk until something "better" comes along. Finebaum is going to chirp until something better comes along. These people on the rant are going to keep farting until something better comes along. It's no big deal. He's off the team. The team's still mighty.

Give the REC a couple of weeks and J.A. will be an afterthought, until he plays against Wisconsin.

Thanks for your post!
This is a great example of rationalizing and deflecting from an "uncomfortable" situation one finds themselves in.
