I'm not saying this happened in this case, but I've seen (on more than one occasion) police arrest DV victims when they recant, as they are wont to do, as a means of trying to make them stick with/return to the original story. No troll/flame/sail.

As much as I'd enjoy the media circus if this was a Bama conspiracy, it's more than likely a Mrs. Ray Rice type situation...
From the police report I believe JT did it, but the girlfriend prolly wants to be Taylor’s NFL bride and he’s prolly convinced her that all will be well if she'll help him clean this up. It almost has to be between the two of them...
The risk to the REC or anyone else involved with Bama football approaching her with a payoff is just too high. If connected people were behind this she would've never been booked in jail. If the victim wants to help, these kinda things can go away quietly...

Pretty accurate, but typically it's a last resort because the DA's office doesn't want to do that unless they absolutely have to.

One of the most frustrating things about working Sex Crimes is that victims often times recant their stories, especially in high profile cases that hit the news. It is very difficult to talk them back without unduly influencing the outcome even if you are absolutely certain that the accused did it. But I guess Bama needs depth on the interior Defensive Line and evidently at CB so Tide fans will now defend the Taylor issue as if they somehow made the right call in putting him on the team. FWIW I have seen way too many children killed in alcohol related vehicle accidents to accept that this POS is somehow still on scholarship after not once but twice getting caught. It's your program though I guess I shouldn't give a shite if you don't, I am certainly not surprised.

Just to clarify when I did it Sex Crimes also caught the DV cases.

A) I don't see 'Bama fans defending Taylor.
B) Where do you work?
C) You're doing nothing but speculating that he did, in fact, commit the crime, despite her recanting of her statement and subsequent arrest.

TT, you look just as stupid as the rest of these clowns trying to crawfish, rationalize, deflect, go crickets, and everything else associated with (to take a line from The Godfather 1 movie) being made to look ridiculous! Damn, I love this!

Well, no shite? He kicked the kid off of the team, right?
LSU fans have absolutely no room to talk about other coaches' handling of criminal situations with their players.

Should make the transfer to Auburn or Louisville a bit easier.

What is sad and funny are the Bammers who are trying to say this exonerates Taylor from being guilty of anything wrong. Most of the Country still thinks he did it, but the GF is trying to protect him. Even most of the bammers would be on that bandwagon, if he wasn't a Football Player. I laugh my arse off when they try to pretend that they are protecting the reputation of a poor black man, who is being persecuted by white society. How many bammers own "Hands up- don't Shoot" t-shirts?
