Seriously. Before last night's "big" win over Memphis, Ole Miss was sitting at .500 (14-14) for the year.

Ironically in the 2nd game you loss to them, LSU didn't hit a home run and that ended the streak didn't it?

No the streak ended early in the 98 season in a game at Texas.

Why would you post this? Now I'm concerned about this weekend. And an Easter weekend too.

Regional in BR when we stomped Ga Tech 29-13

That 7th (or 8th?) inning was incredible. 18 runs (lead went from 10-7 to 28-7), set some kind of record for doubles. One little factoid from that inning...Warren Morris was the first batter out, AND the second batter out, and he also got a hit in the inning.

The Tigers (48-15) hit eight doubles in the seventh to set an NCAA record for one inning, and tied the NCAA records for consecutive batters reaching base in an inning (17) and hits in an inning (13).

LSU set NCAA Tournament records with 18 runs, 27 total bases, 22 plate appearances, 17 runs batted in and 16 at-bats by one team in an inning. The 42 runs scored by both teams set another tournament record.

I think we set a record for innings played in a 3-game weekend series last Thurs, Fri and Sat - 38!!!

And this.... 2.69—LSU, 1997 (188 in 70 games). That's an average of 2.69 home runs a game. That is some silly gorilla ball.

Check this out. LSU's All-American Shortstop on that team, Brandon Larson, reached 40 Homers in the CWS championship run; and did NOT lead the nation in homers. That honor went to future Astro great, Lance Berkman of Rice, who hit his 41st in the CWS.
