They had 11 straight hits to start the 3rd inning. It ties an NCAA record set by Cal State-Los Angeles vs UCSB 1977 equaled by Oakland vs Southern Utah in 2008.

Found another record.

Hits in the 3rd inning
12—Long Island vs. Mt. St. Mary’s, April 10, 2000; Clemson
vs. Maryland, March 21, 1998; UNLV vs. Alliant Int’l,
May 2, 1981

A&M with 13.

And while reading the record book I found this.

77—LSU, from June 8, 1996, to Feb. 21, 1998

As in 77 games in a row with a home run. WTF!

And this.... 2.69—LSU, 1997 (188 in 70 games). That's an average of 2.69 home runs a game. That is some silly gorilla ball.

That's just nuts. I never would have guessed it was that high. to LSU.

Reminds me of '96 Regional in BR when we stomped Ga Tech 29-13, scoring 16 runs in one inning.
