But where did they go to school and did they turn out? Basketball recruiting is nationwide. Its not like football. If you rely mostly on in-state talent in basketball you're behind the eight ball from the start.
Cal, at the end of the season, just looks at the top 25 board of recruits and decides who he wants for the next year's team. Why do you think 2/3rds of the top 25 is waiting to commit even though we are at the end of the school year? They are all waiting to see who leaves Kentucky to know if they have a spot there.

BigBlue8Titles-In some cases IN-STATE talent trumps Nationwide recruiting. Heck LSU rode the IN-STATE talent all the way to the Final Four.
