And LSU has to compete with LA Tech, UL-L, ULM, Southeastern, and Tulane.

Southeastern is FCS. If we're counting those then we have to add 8 to the previously cited 11, and y'all get to add 5 to your 5 (so as not to count Southeastern twice). Either way: Please. Neither of those is texas, TCU, Baylor, or even Tech. La Tech is the strongest competitor on the list and it isn't even comparable to our Tech, which is currently fifth in Texas.

I've read the writing on the wall, though. No one wants to hear us banter about this shite.

Equally inane.

Fair enough (re: LSU relevance).
But both schools can be wealthy, football-oriented, and value education.
Just because Texas A&M University is/does, doesn't mean others aren't/don't .

Try telling our governor that.

If you want Chavis to field a solid defense you're going to have to surrender your prolific offense.

We just need to be able to run the ball for a first down when we need one on 3rd and short

I think that's possible if new coach Christensen develops the ground attack as anticipated

Ouch.
Not a Jindal fan, I take it?

That's probably a discussion for another board.

So Les being inept at offense is why Chavis did well at LSU. Got it.

Hell, Texas State is only a year removed from being in a conference with Southeastern.

Having an offense that kept the defense off the field tremendously helped by keeping the starters fresh. But you knew that already because all of you Aggies know about LSU football history.

Sumlin's unwillingness to change his Big12/Conference USA offense will be the reason he repeatedly loses to LSU, eventually ending his days in Aggyland. You don't win trophies in this conference without a running game. Keep it up Kev!

I see plenty of candidates on that list to get the Big 12 back to 12.

LSU fans should give themselves credit. Chavis was the only DC to contain Johnny Football. That was impressive. Cheer up guys.

Credit the LSU athletes too. Chavis wasn't out there playing contain. We had the fastest defense in the SEC.

Corey Raymond's #DBU has repeatedly shut A&M down with early draftees departing the year before

Meh. Didn't USC and tu average like 55 ppg in 2005? Both went undefeated til the final game with good defenses that sent tons of players to the NFL. By the nature of our offense, our defense will be on the field be more, but if it's a good defense it won't matter.
