Are y'all going to post a every new article about Chavis?

My goodness when y'all actually do beat us, your entire fanbase will be so insufferable. You still haven't beaten LSU and more than 60% of A&M's threads are LSU related. Glad we could step into UTs big brother role for you though.

He warned you it wouldn't be anything more than a casual sports article when he used the word "Grantland."

Correct me if i'm wrong, this may be the very first ever somewhat cordial banter between LSU and TAMU fans. Maybe i'm wrong.

It's because most of the usual suspects are missing from this thread. They'll show up soon and one side will say something and the cordial feel will go bye bye.

he relies so heavily on man defense by the CBs and for the ends to contain. i'd assume this year he tries to shift to a more aggressive DL approach since aTm doesn't have the CBs to lock guys down.

I certainly hope so. I think Elam (who we signed this year) has the potential to step up big in the future but it won't happen this year as a true freshman. It seems like Chavis favored the longer athletes at CB to play that close man and we just don't have a lot of those guys on campus

The article plays up the 2013 offense and 2014 defense. I guess the 2013 defense just didn't fit the narrative well enough for the article. Or it was the offense's fault that Georgia scored more than 42 points.

Very true. Yet from what I read he is expecting man coverage from the starters, so he is sticking to his guns.

The CB issue is why I don't expect a huge improvement next year.

To be fair we don't know which of our CBs might step up and play well in the new scheme. They've never had an opportunity. There's hope that we'll be pleasantly surprised.

He's never had an agressive DL approach when it comes to rushing the passer, and I doubt that changes. With his pension for fast, therefore usually undersized, LBs his DE's have to help out in the running game. I expect to see the exact same scheme we watched LSU use for the last 6 years.

its an interesting read. If your an LSU fan i would suggest powering through the A&M dick sucking that appears to happen mid article as he sort of balances it out at the end.

nothing new though

Good read. Like everyone else, I'm worried about our corners.
