WTF! Auburn gets pearl, Tennessee gets Barnes, and Alabama is trying to get Marshall. Did Slive tell the SEC basement dwellers to start trying in basketball or he will sanction their football programs??

I don't know man. He had 16 NCAA tournament appearances out of 17 years. He went 402-180 there overall.
That is pretty damn consistent, which is exactly what TN needs.

Perfect fit if you're satisfied with mediocre.
Yeah, he has a good record of making it into the tourney, but not much past that and he had a much better recruiting advantage at UTW than he'll have at UTE.
Plus, he'll have to bump heads with UK and UF on a regular basis now.

The wife was a cheerleader-connection worked for once! (UT fans will know what I'm saying there). 
At any rate, this is a fantastic hire. Right guy, at the right time. AD Dave Hart managed to remove himself from the frying pan with this one. He still remains near the oven and uncomfortably warm tho as there's far more than just the Tyndall thing working against him.

I almost didn't include the disclaimer but I didn't know how well tRant followed that. I mean of course Georgia did (we basically get each other's news) and most of the Big 6 knows all about the other.
Still some of the team's in the West or even Mizzou may not have gotten what I'm saying since we don't play often.
