No it doesn't. We were killed in the paint last year. We lost our two semi-legitimate inside players.

And we lost a PG that played 40 mins a game at stretches of the year.

We could very easily actually be worse. It is possible.

It really depends on who else leaves and who replaces J3.
College ball is a guards game & Mizzou can be better if they just have bigs that can defend, rebound, & finish at the rim. That's basically Woods game.

That is the guards stay (Teki, Wright, & Clark).

That is very optimistic. Wish I could hold the same.

Rosburg + Post + J3 vs. Rosburg and guy not yet signed

Just not seeing it. Even if you say Woods replaces J3, you are replacing a guy who's been in the system over a year, at Mizzou for two, who was your leading scorer and rebounder and replacing him with someone who's never been at Mizzou, never in the system and is a complete unknown. Remember, Post was all world in JUCO. No, we are not better off currently.

Before last night KA only needed to go .500 to keep his job next season. That has now changed to .750. Good luck, guy.

I don't think so. But getting to .500 just got a whole lot harder. And hate to think about it if even more leave.

Mizzou only won 9 games with J3. If Mizzou gets the guard play then they can be better. If ND spent fall apart at the end they are a final four team with 1 big and a leading rebounder that was 6'4". Mizzou is still a long ways from being that good but they can get to .500 with just decent play on the interior.

FWIW - I still think our best PG on the team couldn't play last year. And that's not necessarily a positive statement.

Im 5/10 worried about PG, way more worried about bigs now. Phillips passed Rondos all time assist record at oak hill. not bad.

None of those tweets look promising. Just not sure where they're headed.

Matter fixing to come on with Cusumano. Be interesting to see if he's heard anything about other players.

In fact, it's almost likely. Depending on who else we bring in of course but we are going to get murdered on the inside and we don't have enough shooting to be that good 4 guard team you see from time to time.

I'll disagree with the sentiment that J3 leaving is some kind of death blow though. He's replaceable. The question just becomes if KA can do it or not.

He isn't replaceable next year. And probably the year after that.

Considering JW3 will probably only play 1 more year before entering.

We weren't going to be any good next year anyway. I'll just disagree that he's not replaceable. IMO, he's just not that good. Certainly isn't very good in the role we were asking him to play. Could be a solid role player for someone I suppose.

It certainly hurts in the sense we were already hurting for size and this just makes that situation critical.

Hopefully Puryear grows two inches...
