So if that happens, our roster is

PG Clark/Phillips
SG Wright/Van Leer
SF Gill Ceasar
PF Allen/Puryear
C Rosburg

Nice...

Good lord man.

That would leave:

Clark
Teki
Allen
Wright
Rosburg

VanLeer
Puryear
Phillips

If in fact those go, there's no way Teki stays. Probably not Wright either. I could see Allen staying because he's not gonna get a much better situation. Clark is hard to say because he'll be a junior. Rosburg won't leave.

And we have to fill 5 spots in addition to the current commits.

Anyone still feeling confident about Bryant?

The only thing I'm feeling confident about is that next season will suck and we will likely be on the coaching carousel. Yay.

Does Phillips sign onto a sinking ship?

Are any JUCO kids going to come here for 2 years?

Are we going to have student tryouts?

And can we finally veto all those awful program guiding decisions by the Geritol crowd?

My concerns exactly 808. Losing J3 is bad enough news. But this could be bad beyond anything I imagined. Gonna be holding my breath to see if the dominos start falling.

I'm telling ya, when I was in high school, there's no way I'm going there if there is mass defections. If it's limited to just J3, maybe, just maybe, we can still land a kid or 2.

Anything more than J3 and we'll be signing up more Barnards.

Bello always seemed the most obvious to go.

Isabell after sitting out so many games.

Gant just never looked like he enjoyed being on the court. Might be his personality or he might have been miserable.

This basketball program is an embarrassment.

Hard thing to swallow, but true.

ETA: We could lose 1-2 kids and still (perhaps?) show improvement next year. But the worse case scenario of a mass exodus would seem to be looming.

KA just ran out of time. He will most certainly be fired at the end of next year. He literally won't have the time to develop the meager talent that exists and that he MIGHT be able to bring in.

J3 along with anyone else who decides to leave is the death blow.

I think you nailed it. A new AD, who needs good things to happen in a hurry to start his tenure, won't/can't have te basketball program in this shape. That's not necessarily fair to KA, I honestly believe he's better than this year showed. But I think it's what will happen. House cleaning after next season and start from scratch.

There has got to be a big man in JUCO who can play that wants to start and star right away. Welcome to Missouri !!

Phillips seems pretty solid to mizzou. Just close your eyes and pray it ends quickly next year.

That's what I did this year. Didn't work: it's still happening.

Could KA be a bigger embarrassment to his alma mater? He comes in talking about winning rings and all this stuff he accomplished in the minor leagues, then proceeds to leads us to our worst season in 40 years, landing nothing but midmajor recruits, and running off 4* players right and left. You've got to feel for the guy, he finally got what he's always wanted and then he fails epically at it.

I really don't think so. I don't say that to be a nega-tiger. I just don't see how we can realistically expect to be improved after losing our best player from last year and any other combination of players beyond him. It's not like the guys coming in are big impact players. Basically, what you saw this year is what you're going to get. Now, imagine having played all those games without J3. Without him, we wouldn't have won 5 games.

It really depends on who else leaves and who replaces J3.
College ball is a guards game & Mizzou can be better if they just have bigs that can defend, rebound, & finish at the rim. That's basically Woods game.

That is the guards stay (Teki, Wright, & Clark).

Before last night KA only needed to go .500 to keep his job next season. That has now changed to .750. Good luck, guy.
