Met a really cool ex football player not named Michael Sam who started on an SEC team in his day this past weekend. Didn't know who he was, then we got to talking about football and he was pretty knowledgable. Come to find out he played in college and pro for a couple years before quitting.

Had he not introduced the guy he was with as his husband, I'd have never known. Especially considering they both were D1 athletes.

What would you do if one of your guys came out? Support him? Shun him? Indifferent?

I could literally not care less about the personal lives of former players.

As long as he didn't make a big fricking fruity spectacle of himself, I wouldn't give a shite.

As long as he's not out in public smootching on his bitch, I dont care. I say the same thing about hetero couples though. Overt public displays of affection are irritating.

I'd root for him to play well and be a good representative for our university. I'd prefer he wouldn't shove cake in his boyfriends face on national tv, but I probably would think that would be weird for straight people to do too.

I'd imagine he would look like this, while walking out:

I would hate all of the publicity that would come to the school over it. Would care a whole lot less if the player waited till after he was gone to come out like the way Sam did.
