I agree there should be consequences, I am just pointing out that it is disingenuous to pretend kicking him off makes society safer somehow if the guys has a problem.

really do hope Saban has Mike Lutzenkirchen come to talk to the football team. The Lutzie foundation is a great organization to help kids realize the mistakes they make have huge consequences.
I'm surprised that he hasn't been invited. Saban does that type thing on a regular basis.
And for your information, I didn't and have never made fun of that tragedy.

I am sure he does. I was more addressing that that piece of shite thinks bringing up the death of Lutz is "pimpin". I have no problem with Bama or many of its fans. I do have a problem with absolute piece of shite human beings like him.

That comment is out of line. You would take offense if an Aub made a comment of that nature about Derrick Thomas. Some things just shouldn't be trolling material, and that is one of them.

You're a stereotypical Auburn fan. Your whole life revolves the Bama football team, too.

Bud, you and all the rest of us here live in glass houses, and we don't seem to have a problem with throwing stones, so we don't have the right to complain about all the broken glass, huh?

The guy is a well known moron and reinforces that fact with each post. He is beyond help, so it appears just ignoring him is the most sensible approach.

The Auburn fan who started the whole back and forth by saying drunk driving and beating women was what Bama fans are all about should feel pretty fricking stupid, too.

I'll tell you bud in all seriousness you should reevaluate some things in your life... Making light of a young man that lost his life is way out of hand... If that was your daughter you wouldn't take kindly to that... I'm just saying there's a fine line between an argument and crossing the line... I RA'd, hopefully the admins will give you a break.

You stupid bastard, I'd ask you how the hell I made fun of it, but your reply would only make me shake my head in disbelief. ...do you even know what making fun of something is?

You are not as smart as you think you are. Hiding behind "that wasn't what i meant" after typing

quote:

Do you really want to get off into drunk driving and it's dangers, pal?...really?

You know what you typed and what it meant. so THAT is you making fun of a tragedy.

Not for you, but for anyone just reading this thread, I've repeated what I posted. If you call that "making light" of something then you're a simple-minded fool who can dish it out but can't take it. Drunken driving scolding doesn't need to be made by a fan base who has had its own problems with the topic.
quote:

"When people are getting harmed from his dumb decision making he should learn to start caring... Say Geno Smith stays with the team and drives drunk and kills someone, how would this affect his don't care attitude... Obviously the kid has a problem.."

Saban also said this. While I don't think we should have taken a chance on him. We did and I don't mind as long as responsibility is taken. Everyone makes mistakes

While we all agree it was a dumb move by Bama, this was blown out of proportion. We all expected him to be removed from the team.

Thanks. You just proved both my points. 1) you don't have a clue about what making fun of something is, and 2) you are the simple-minded fool I thought you were.

Is that a recent quote by Saban. I mean there's a time when you say, 'we gave him a chance and he failed.' You don't defend yourself of the guy. Just say something like "I believe people can change but in his case obviously I misjudged him" and leave it at that. The whole 'he fulfilled what we required' deal is the kind of quote that is defensive and out of touch to say the least.

If that really is a new quote then Saban should've been a helluva lot smarter about an issue like this.

This is the dumbest statement you could possibly make. A beloved ex-player and Alumni of our University dies in a drinking and driving accident and we can't talk about how horrible drinking and driving is? Are you really saying this?
