Minnesota finished #1 in AP that season so IMO we did not win the national championship

Y'all got the FWAA though which was the only major poll that always waited until after the bowls.

Don't forget Delusion.

State is a perennial national power in that category.

The FWAA wasn't exactly a bogus claim. Alabama claims more bogus titles and yet nobody calls them out on it except Auburn and Tennessee fans

Which is ironic coming from UT fans.

Coach Jackie Shirley had them awful close to a MNC in bovine castration, but realized he wasn't at aTm anymore and called off the practice sessions. In its place, I heard they were awarded the MNC for insuring Col. Reb never appeared at another college football game and won several awards from the NdoubleACP for that. I say we allow it

I take offense to that. I live in Mississippi, stand 5'10 and weigh 187 lbs. I run at least a mile 6 days a week, lift 3 days a week, and do abs 6 days a week, as well as 200-300 push ups a day. Now, all that said, I'll probably die at 50, and some of these 400 lb government teat Wal-Marters will probably live to be 85.

I heard that back in the day, Miss St was the top school for cornhole. But that was before it involved throwing beanbags.
