Will be an interesting year to watch...we have to wait for results. I honestly have no idea how we will do and and this the first time in years that I cant be sure. We could be 5-7 or 10-2.

It's really impossible to tell, but I do have a good feeling about our offense. Big Mac (it'll stick one day) has shown he can work with offenses and run an efficient program, I Just hope we have the talent at quarterback to do it.

I want to have hope, and of course as a Gator I'll always vote 10 - 2, but I'm a little gunshy these days.

It is the OL that scares me...not the qb play. If we had adequate run/pass blocking then we will be middle of the road at worse. We have too many 4* athletes to be otherwise (barring injuries to every rb/qb/wr)

We are paper thin at OL and even great qb play cant overcome a collapse if we lose a few OL to injuries. This started with Meyers class in 2010 and continued with CWM. We finally got numbers in our last recruiting class but they are mostly two years away from SEC ready.

I have given up on evaluations from gerus. Gruden is seeing Colorado St. film and Mountain West aint SEC...not saying he is wrong and we might be explosive like 1990-2001..but jury is out for me.

Right now we do have an advantage in that teams on our schedule are over looking us early on.

You were sure last year...

I'll take you being unsure this year. 10-2, here we come.

Ok...you got me and I deserve any finger pointing from last year....but I can always make chicken salad out of chicken scratch...

Remember, we were 4-4 in the SEC and should have been 5-3. CWM was totally snakebit...we lost a game to lightning, two games to a blocking tight end. The Mizzou game though is mind boggling.

BTW not every college coach wants to be an NFL coach. You don't see NFL coaches go the college level and then return to the pros...but you sure see a lot of college coaches who realize they made a mistake...working 16 hr days aint fun.

Really we could have been 6-2 with wins vs USC and LSU, maybe convert in the redzone and we beat FSU and have a good year at 9(10)-2. Also could have been 2-6 if the UK and UT games go the other way. And btw, I'm still not convinced the Mizzou game was actually played

I don't know about you guys, but I'm feeling 15-0

A lot of coaches who are successful at lower levels do so with moderate to low talent at OL and work around it through scheming. I would rather have a good one, that's for sure, but quarterbacks have had huge success with weak Olines. Kid from Hawai'i showed us that it's possible.

Straw...I actually agree with you 110% about the talent level at OL...however...we have problems with LEVELS of players and you never want to see a true frosh or soph etc etc play before he is ready.

Example A: 1992 season when Spurrier had lost the players he inherited in 1990 (very good OL/DL)
1992 he wasn't as fortunate, but had young talent at OL...very young...two true frosh started that year Jason Odom and Reggie at OT. They had to take their lumps early on and we were killed by Moo State and UT. BTW 1992 was the first year of the SECCG and UT or UGA looked like shoo ins and UF out of it by mid season. Lo and behold...UT choked...lost three games and we upset UGA. Odom and Green had caught on. I cant emphasis how important it was that we took the east the first year...than we of course took the several and it set UGA & UT back and annointed us as the alpha reptiles

I would rather see us with 14 scholly OL with only 1 of them a 4* and the rest 3* and a lunch pail attitude than 9 schollys of higher rated players.

Our OL coach has his work cut for him...he will have to patchwork some Im sure.

This, especially the depth.

As for the CJM will bring offensively, I like what he'll bring. Should be an interesting.

I agree with you wholeheartedly on this one. We've had some...pretty hideous disasters with five star OLs. I think Mac will fix most of the problems, I do have a lot of faith in him to get the ship righted.

His recruiting ability looks amazing at this point.
