Let's go JLee here and put a percentage on this Greg Marshall thing.
What've you guys got it at? 50%? 60%? 75%?
I'll go 50.
What's ol' Jeffrey up to now days? Did he get his job back with Rivals?

He is interested, which is more than many thought a week ago.

My only point is that the opportunity at UT is open more so than UA right this second.

With every day that passes, WSU loosens the purse strings a little bit more.

You ever been to the campus of the University of Alabama?
One of the most beautiful in America.

If we need to convince his family, it's time to send in Terri Saban and Sarah Patterson. Excellent recruiters of women.

ESPN is reporting that Richard Pitino is in the picture as a back-up if Marshall doesn't come

Like this idea and I'm sure both will be there to greet the family if/when they come to tour the campus as part of their decision making process.
I will say, if he were certainly staying at WSU they would have announced an extension & raise by now. He's either really considering the Bama job, waiting to see if Texas calls at all, or both. He's definitely not 100% committed to returning to WSU at this point.

Haven't heard from anyone with knowledge of the search that has agreed with those reports.

Indeed. His buddy bought the site and hired him

It's starting to sound obvious that Marshall wants the job but the wife is holding things up. Which leads me to believe that Marshall is not coming.
This is the same guy who left Winthrop for Charleston, had a press conference, and then changed his mind and went back to Winthrop. It's obvious his wife has a very legitimate voice in what he does.
If it is taking this long just to convince his wife to board a private jet to see if she likes Tuscaloosa, my optimism is not high.

I would bet the teenage daughter in her freshman year of high school may be causing a bigger fuss about it.

15 year old girls fuss about everything. They don't get to make 25 million dollar decisions. Wives make those decisions on their behalf. And right now I think the wife wants to stay.

Throw in a Mercedes for her 16th birthday and close the deal.

Easy solution. Divorce the woman now before tripling his salary. He'd have the time of his life in Tuscaloosa.
