It won't be long before people are screaming for his head.

You mean he had a rebuilding year? I don't know why in the frick we keep screaming the sky is falling when it comes to him and this season... We are a mediocre team with great potential... If we can put it together late when it matters then who cares how we start

I mean shite, state started 13-0

Goddamn I need a drink

Anyone that calls for his head deserves to be tarred and feathered.

Last time he had three rebuilding years. It would be great if we could count on a year.

2011 Ole Miss 30–25 13–17 T–5th (West)
2012 Ole Miss 37–26 14–16 4th (West) NCAA Regional
2013 Ole Miss 38–24 15–15 4th (West) NCAA Regional

That setup for a JR/SR ladened team did it not? Next year we return literally everyone except for Sikes... We have a Soph in Center who is one of the leaders on the team...

It's a rebuilding year... We go to Omaha 1 time in present history and now everyone assumes itll be a year in/out ordeal and it's not

I mean frick, baseball and basketball are keyed on two things, have the talent and get hot late... Which we have and given how many true freshmen we have, we could do exactly that... Call for his head all you want, but it's fricking stupid

I didn't say anything of the sort. I don't think he should be fired, and I'm not sure anyone else is saying that either.

You don't Spirit, do you?

It's a little concerning with how some of our senile fans want Freeze to be fired when he gets blown out at Arkansas despite our top 10 ranking at the time. And how a large contingent of our fan base still want AK fired despite two tournaments (with wins in both) in three years time. Worst yet are the ones that want CMB fired less than a year removed from making the final four in Omaha on our first trip since Vietnam.

Our big three sports (and wimmens bball for that matter) are all in great shape and all trending in the right direction. None of this is directed at you, I just think it's an opportunity to rant about how stupid a lot of our fans can get. If we're not careful, we're going to run off some of our coaches. Mike won't leave but I could see us souring Hugh or AK. Hell, we've already soured AK, that dude's been looking at jobs at USF, UAB and Alabama.

There are rumors of AK going to Tenn. Our fans need to realize that we aren't a powerhouse school. We can't just pull in amazing coaches every hire

I can't decide if the OP is considering himself one of the people that will be screaming for Bianco's head, but either way this thread is stupid.

I will say this. People don't realize how special Cliff Godwin was. He completely changed how our team played from an offensive stand point. You could tell the micro-manager took his hand off the offense last year and let Cliff run the show. He didn't in 2013. Go look at batting stats for Bousfield, Anderson and Allen in 2013 then go look in 2014.

Bousfield:
2013 - .253 2 HR 10 2B
2014 - .336 6 HR 18 2B

Anderson
2013 - .310 3 HR 12 2B
2014 - .323 5 HR 18 2B

Allen
2013 - .231 4 HR 5 2B
2014 - .339 7 HR 24 2B

Now look at Sikes from last year to this year
2014 - .294 14 HR (Through 69 games)
2015 - .242 6 HR (Through 28 games)

I will always trust Bianco to have a good staff but offensively he is clueless.

No. With the addition of the Dan Jones issue, those places (Rivals even worse) are unbearable. We have the best three coaches (baseball, basketball, football) that we've ever had. I don't think any of them should be fired and especially Freeze. The West is a monster right now and it takes a great coach just to keep your head above water.

That's so much bullshite. People are so delusional when it comes to how the team is run. This is an example of how some idiot will drop a theory on sprivals and a bunch of people will run with it. My favorite one was how the team held meetings and the captains rallied everyone to ignore Bianco and play for them. They rallied together to win despite the coach holding them back.

You have to admit that its pretty interesting that when McDonnell left and when Goodwin left we took a step back.

Yea it's bullshite. You know exactly whats going on. I just made point and supported it with facts. I'm pretty sure you are delusional on how the inter workings of that team was run between 2013 and 2014. It was common knowledge that Bianco finally gave complete control to Godwin in 2014. When in 2013 Godwin was handcuffed running Biancos system. Godwin broke down their swings and started from scratch in 2014. started with just one arm swinging. Then to upper body swings. Then to tee work. Then to short toss. Then to long toss. This did not happen in 2013.

Wouldn't that be evidence against Bianco running the offense?

You didn't support it with facts. You supported it with selective and tiny samples. If you were that into baseball you'd realize how insignificant that evidence is. Also, none of that is common knowledge. It's message board theory.

I hate to play this card, but my line of employment does allow me to have a very good perspective and understanding of how these teams are managed.
