This situation is regrettable, but seeing all these fans of different schools melt about it makes me feel all warm inside.

I'm sure you would think it was regrettable if it were your daughter.

If I was her dad I would have killed him. He is very luck to not get shot by her father.

I'm just not sure how Alabama football will survive.

Hopefully it won't and just maybe it'll take most of you idiots with it.

I do not object to Saban giving this guy a shot to turn his life around and make something of himself. Most people who do were only concerned about the image of the program and not the life of the young man in question. He screwed up, however, and was apparently on a short leash. It sucks for the kid but he had his chance and blew it.

It came from UGA fans. They seemed to think it was her.

how noble of you. It's not a football program's role to 'fix' guys that do stuff like this.

And I'm not about to make this only about Alabama fans, every team has shitty fans like you scattered around.

What about gun issues?

Our guys getting shot by other people is gun issues?

Not to mention none of those guys had been in trouble previously. Other than your post is spot on.

I'd prefer Richt not go out and bring in guys that beat their girlfriend's arse under the guise of "helping them get a second chance." I have a feeling there's players that got kicked out of other programs that aren't as talented that must not have deserved a second chance as much? You know it was about his football ability and nothing else.

Pretending that giving him a scholarship was taking the high road and thinking about him instead of the image of the program is bullshite.

Why does everything on this board turn into --- "yeah but your team did this..."

Bottom line, this kid is gone now and that is for the best. I think everyone should be able to agree on that.
