I love how an Auburn fan (worst basketball program historically in SEC history) is being high and mighty because they hired a great coach but one that everyone was scared to touch with a 10 foot pole. You guys literally have only acknowledged that you even had a basketball program for a 2 year stretch at the turn of the century. Now some of you act like you're hoops insiders and know WTF you're talking about...lol

I'm not disagreeing with you. However, it's better for Marshall to make Texas think that they are competing with Alabama and that it is all gonna come down to the offer they put on the table.

What does Auburn have to do with this situation? Oh yeah, it doesn't have anything to do with it. It is nothing more than a deflection to cover up the fact that even 4 or 5 million dollars isn't enouhh to buy bama a decent basketball coach.

I'm not reading this thread, but why would he do that? Even if he isn't going to Bama, them publicly throwing money at him gives him leverage for whatever is next deal is.
